What I want to share from my experiences is that love conquers everything. It is my hope that it will inspire the readers to open their hearts to the Divine. If we can try to understand that we all are equally part of the Divine and are here to achieve this greater Truth and to realise our Self - if we make this our goal and do everything with Love…then everything will be lovely and you will always be happy.

Beyond all the duality that the mind creates is only the Self.....

I’m talking about opening the heart of man, opening your heart to love. Because you can love, you can love beyond what your mind is thinking about love. In the depth of this love you’ll be one with the Divine. Beyond all the duality that the mind creates is only the Self, and that’s what each one is here for. And no matter which path you are following, at the end, each path will reach that point. All paths are right but you have to be disciplined in them. When I say disciplined I don’t mean forcing or pressing. This is spirituality. Something that has to emerge from the heart of man, is like a flower that opens without any force. Let it open, and let it shine with beauty.

All of you flow back to the same ocean.......

People can see with their two eyes. With the physical eyes they see only the outside. But what is behind the guru is the same light. The guru will take your hand and bring you to a level where you can stand on your own feet. I don’t mean that you don’t need the guru. He will always be there, but he will put himself in the background. Then the inner guru will become more important. This is the greatness of a master.
Let me tell you a story. Once there was a fight between the devotees of Shiva and Vishnu. The devotees of Shiva said, “Shiva is the greatest!”.And the devotees of Vishnu said, “Vishnu is the greatest!” So, God was just looking at the devotees, at what they were doing. This lasted for years and years, until finally the Lord Himself decided to come. Vishnu changed himself into Shiva, and went to the devotees of Shiva, and Shiva changed himself to Vishnu, and went to the devotees of Vishnu. So everybody was praising their master, saying “Oh, you are great. You are great!” After some time they noticed that Vishnu, who is normally the embodiment of calmness, was different. And this quality isn’t normally found in Shiva. The devotees of Shiva saw that this Shiva was a bit different, too. He’s so calm. And they started thinking, “There is something wrong here.” Then they said, “Lord, with all of our respect, which leader are you showing us? Which lesson are you giving us?” At that moment, Shiva changed to his normal form, to Vishnu. And the devotees of Vishnu, when they looked at Vishnu, he changed to Shiva. The devotees were very confused. They didn’t know what to do. So, finally, both Shiva and Vishnu came together, called all the devotees together, and they saw a big bright light. They could not even look at this light. And when the light was vanished, they saw Dattatreya, the Holy Trinity – Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheshwara – in one.
So, our mind tries to separate things, but look behind what only your physical eyes can see. Look at the light. This light which you all reflect, which everybody in this world reflects; this is the reality. When you achieve this level, know that you have come to the point of complete realisation. Keep practicing everyday, make it your daily sadhana. Meditate, sing the name of God. There are many ways you can reach this light. Like all the rivers flow back to the same ocean, the same is within all of you. All of you flow back to the same ocean. Make this deep ocean of love which you carry grow more and more, and the Lord will reveal Himself deep inside you.

We have to learn to turn the mind.....

We have to learn to turn the mind and gaze in the inside, inside each one of ourselves and see the Lord there and let Him reveal Himself. When you call Him, when you chant His name, when you recite His name, when you sing His name, this is how you’re calling Him. You’re calling him “Please, reveal yourself.“ Like
in the Gita it is said, Krishna said “ I don’t reside anywhere in the outside. I don’t reside even in the heart of the people, but I reside where there is the glory, my glory is being sung.” The same thing is written in the Bible, “If two or three are gathered in my name, I shall be near to them.” That means that when you sing the name of God, you are calling, you’re asking Him to awaken within you, you are asking Him to come to you and to reveal Himself to you. The more you do that the more he will reveal Himself as this Love. The more you long for Him, the more you will love to do your sadhana, the more your mind will be controlled. And, when your mind is controlled, when you have peace of mind, you will be peaceful. You will be peace in your body and you will bring peace this peace to your surroundings. You will be an instrument of this Divine Love. But, as this first step, you have to not only be contemplating in the outside, but you must contemplate within yourself and find God. This reminds me that very often people are scared about the outside. They are scared and they always look at how the outside thinks of them. This is a weakness of man, actually, always looking about others and forgetting about how they can change things. That reminds me of a story where there was this sannyas, a sannyasin, a sadhu. He used to live just opposite a house where a prostitute lady lived. So, every day the sannyasin looked at how many men visited this prostitute. He counted. So, one day he decided to go to the lady and said “Lady, you don’t know how much you are sinning. For sure, you will go to hell for all the sin. You have to really repent and change your life.” This poor lady, when she heard that, she was very alarmed and shocked. She was crying very bitterly, you know, crying and repenting inside and feeling so bad inside of her when she heard how much sin she had committed. And she prayed to Maha Vishnu and said “Lord, forgive me, I didn’t know how much sin I had committed.” So, she cried and cried, but as prostitution was her only means of living, she could not really change her life. So, seeing that even after talking to her she didn’t change, the sannyasin was thinking and he said “For each person I will put one stone in front just to show her how much is her sin.” So, after some time, it was a big heap of stone. He went to the lady and said “You see this big heap of stone; this is all your sin.” And, again, she cried; every day she was crying. Sincerely, she asked God for forgiveness. It so happened that, after this incident, the prostitute lady died and, coincidentally, the sannyasin, who was a brahmin, also died. So, as he was waiting for who would come to get him, you know, he was thinking, since he was a brahmin that the angels of God would come and take him. As he was waiting, he saw that the angels of God, of Maha Vishnu, came and took the soul of the prostitute lady to Vaikunta, to Heaven. And, for him, the God of the dead came to get him and bring him to hell. So, out of protest, he started to scream, saying how unfair it was, “I am a sannyasin, I am a brahmin, I passed my life praying to God, but here the prostitute lady is going to heaven and I’m going to hell.” At that, the guards of Maha Vishnu, the servants of Maha Vishnu said, “Well, whenever you accused her, she repented sincerely and asked God for forgiveness and she was chanting the Divine Names continuously in her heart. Whereas you, you were not contemplating the Divine, even if you were sitting and praying in the outside, inside your heart you were contemplating the sin that this lady was doing. So, that’s why you are going to hell. In the same way, where you put your heart, there it shall be. That’s what is said in the Bible. So, if your heart is focused on the Divine, the Divine will always reside inside of you, in each part of you and you will start to radiate this Divine Love and give it to everybody, so you will become this instrument that I was talking of before. But, if you concentrate on the negativity that you always see - because your eyes always perceive things that are not good - you will get trapped into this illusion. The only way you can really un-trap yourself is to surrender to the feet of God, you know, and really say “Lord, take me.” Know that God is compassionate. He will hold you and He will carry you and He will always send help for you. That’s how His Love is. So, concentrate not on the negative, but on the Divine, and call Him within you. Don’t be shy to chant the name of God. And, also, don’t be shy, because it is not about the others, it is about you and God.

One has to let go of the body and realise the bliss of the Spirit....

I’m really happy to be among all of you, especially, to be here in Fatima. It is such a blessed place, for the Divine Mother has appeared here – I’m sure – not only ninety years ago. She appeared many times, even five years ago when I was here. She appeared to me at the same place where the children saw her. And I’ve been seeing that she was very happy. (Laughing…)
You are all here to feel the Divine love. But most of all you are here to realise the Self. The Self that even Jesus Christ talked about. At the time when he considered himself as the son of man – it was the time of the crucifixion. When he said, that now it’s time for the son of man to be crucified and Judas would betray him, meaning this body.
Matthew said, God prepared His son with lots of purification and sent him to earth. The entire world incarnates in the Spirit. These two qualities, these two identities – being man and being Divine are equal for everybody. Even in the Koran it’s said, one has to let go of the body and realise the bliss of the Spirit. All the suffering will be removed. Realise the Divinity within the Self. So, as long as man thinks of himself to be human, just normal flesh, this person will be just the body. But if this person realises that within this body there lies another body which is even stronger... What is this body?
You will realise this cosmic Christ within, which is our Self. Of course, this is not a very quick process. You really have to dedicate yourself to that. It’s not just by touching it a little bit and feeling it and saying, “OK, this is good. I will take it or not.” You have really to be in it... deep inside. You really have to fall in love completely. Completely trust, to really know the depth of this love, to really know the depth of this trust. One way is through meditation.
It is important though, that you do not just fix always on the master, but you also have to do your own part. Be disciplined wherever you practice it. For sure, you will achieve the same level as the master has. Do not just touch it a little bit, as I said before, and after that you say, “Oh, it is very nice.” You do it for one week and finish with it. You should do it even when you are not feeling well, even if you think, “Oh, I’m tired today. I have lot of work today!” If you think that because you have worked all day you will not do it, this will really break this chain.
Therefore, it is important that you practice it twice daily: morning and evening, and if possible in between. It is always good to do more of it. It is always good to forget about the body and be the Self, isn’t it? You will be calmer; you will be happier, more joyful. You will reflect the light of the Divine more, rather than just being tired, working, working, working, and being tired. Moreover, the next day you wake up with a long face, not being nice, not reflecting any light, and doing the same routine everyday.
Meditation energises all parts of you. The body especially needs it a lot. The mind, which is always worrying about something, has to be calm. The easiest way to calm the mind is to focus it on the Divine. Whenever your mind is thinking... sometimes it happens, even though you don’t want to think something! But the thought is there. Then, after you have thought about it, you say, “Oh, why have I thought like that?” You are still thinking more about it! Instead, do this: When the thought passes through your mind, let it pass. Do not question it afterwards. In place of questioning it, recite the name of God. You love the Divine Mother? Think of Her. Recite Her name inside you. You like Jesus? Krishna? Any Divine aspect. So meditate on it.

“What is the most important thing on the spiritual path?”

We often ask ourselves “What is the most important thing on the spiritual path?” The most important thing on the spiritual path is self-discipline. It is a word which many people don’t like to hear, but it’s only through self-discipline that you will be able to do your sadhana. Without self-discipline it’s very difficult, because you will always find excuses not to do something. What is  sadhana? What does the word  sadhana mean? It means something by which we will attain our spiritual goal. In  sadhana there is perseverance, there is eagerness and there is patience. Without these three you can try as much as possible, but it will be
very difficult. Your mind will always make you think “Oh, today I’m a bit tired. I will not go to prayers.” or “I will not do this.” or “I will not do that.” You start to build up this self-un-discipline, because there is a lack of perseverance. You want to achieve your spiritual goal. You want to realise your Self, but do you think it’s just like that? No, it’s not. If one thinks that just by sitting around and thinking “OK, I think I will go to the prayers whenever I want. I will do my  sadhana whenever I want.” Then God will also say “I will come to you whenever I want. ”Well, He will come to you whenever He wants, it’s true, but you can make it happen faster. You can make Him awaken within you and be consumed,   attaining Him faster, and this can be done only through your discipline. If you want to become self-disciplined and have one-pointed mindfulness on your spiritual path, in your sadhana, you must aim for what you want; but what is this single- mindedness?
I will tell you a small story. Once there was a fisherman who was sitting on the riverbank, throwing his bait into the river and waiting for the fish to eat the bait. He was very focused. He was just looking at the foating bait, waiting for it to sink. He knew that there were a lot of fish around. A stranger who was passing

by asked the fisherman “Mister, can you tell me where Mr X lives?” The fisherman was so concentrated that he didn´t answer. The stranger repeated his question again – one time, two times, three times – still no answer. He got really angry and walked away. As he was walking away, the fisherman saw the bait going down, so he pulled and caught a fish. Then he called after the man “Hey, you were calling me, asking me something? Tell me what your question was.” The stranger said “I repeated my question several times, but it was as if you didn’t hear me or see me. Why should I repeat it again?” That was single-mindedness, one-pointed focus. When you meditate, when you do your  sadhana, you can achieve this state where nothing can disturb you. No left and right, no hearing, no seeing, because in the deepness of meditation, in the deepness of your practice, you have to be fully focused. If you are not disciplined with yourself, do you think you will have this focus? No, this is where everything gets uncertain. You will do prayer, but you will be really superficial and then not be satisfied with yourself. Self- discipline is something that you have to work for. It’s purifcation of the mind and of the senses. When the mind gets purified, when the mind becomes positive, you will see how easy it is in your sadhana also. It doesn’t matter if you don’t succeed in one go. I know that people when they start practicing, they would like to have quick results, like in one month. They want it very fast. Know one thing, if you go  in fast, you will go out fast also. You see, it’s like cooking. If a Mataji would like to make syrup, but she just took the fruits and threw them into a pot of water and then removed them quickly, would the sweetness go out from the fruit and into the water? It would not. You have to leave the fruits inside for some time. It is the same with your sadhana. If you just go inside and then quickly out of it, being impatient with yourself, it will be the same. It will not be sweet. The sweetness that you have inside of you is waiting to be awakened. It doesn’t matter which path you follow or which sadhana you are doing. How you are doing it is the most important. When you love to do something, you are not disturbed by anything. When you love to do the work that you are doing – let’s say that someone, for example, loves to be a carpenter – you would see how much Love he projects into his work, because he would do it with a full focus. I love painting. I love to paint, because it brings you to such a focus that nothing will disturb you, not even people around you who are talking. Have you ever painted? How many among you paint? That’s nice. So you know what I am talking about. It’s not only about painting. Anything that you do, when you love what you are doing, you will come to that focus that nothing will disturb you.

But once the mind has seen the Light.....

The mind knows only the tangible things which are outside – running from one thing to another, looking for the eternal. Wherever the mind is focused you are not happy. Today you want a house. Tomorrow you will want a car. You will get the car and then so on and so on, because nothing outside can really hold the mind. But once the mind has seen the Light, once the mind has seen the Divine face-to-face, the mind gets consumed into that Divine Love. For this, it doesn’t matter whether you are here, whether you are at your place. It doesn’t matter what you are doing, but it just needs the sincerity of your heart. Just that. Simple!
You see Yogis meditating, you see great Sages meditating. Why? It’s because they have already come face-to-face with that Divine and for them, seeing the world, they don’t see it the way people see. They see it completely differently. That’s why if they have to explain that to humans they will not understand. They prefer to run away to caves to hide themselves. They say it’s better being in the cave and being with the Lord, helping the world than being with people who will not understand anything. Man always wants to understand things through the mind. Man always wants to know more and more. What will you do with it? Do you think next life you will take it with you? Ah, forget about that! All that you have studied in this life will be buried with you here. You will not take it to the next life with you. The only thing that you will take is what you are working on for your soul. That’s the only thing that you will take with you and this, you will carry through lives. This is because when you are spiritual in this life it’s because in the past you have already worked, through many lives you have worked your way to be here. It’s not just that God is saying “This one, I like his face. I will bring him on the spiritual path.” It’s not like that. You are here because in previous lives you have worked hard and this life you are also working hard, but this time is different from other times, it’s a very special time. All times are special, but at the moment we are living in a very specific time where God is giving Himself to you, whereas in other times you had to run towards Him. In this time He is running towards you.

You will become an instrument of that peace and Love wherever you are and whatever you are doing...

Once, somebody asked a Saint “How do you see the world?” The Saint answered “Well, each person creates their own reality in this world.” What we see outside is a combination of a mass reality. With this mass reality, of course one person can change and make a difference, a small one. It’s better when one person changes, introverts oneself, opening the heart to Love, because Love is the greatest thing in this world and Love is the only way through it. It’s only through Love that people will change and it’s only through that, that there can be peace and for that you have to open up. That’s what I was saying in the beginning, that it is a time to introvert oneself. Our mind is always running to the outside, so we always see the cruelty, the negativity. Whenever you read the newspaper, whenever you put on the TV, what you see is always negativity. This gets imprinted in you to make your own mind become negative. You believe what you see is very bad, so then what happens? You start to judge and the mind becomes very judgemental. This is like that
or this is like this. But are you changing? No, you are not changing. That is the same thing everybody is doing around the world, there is no difference. Does it contribute to bringing peace and harmony to the world? No
it doesn’t. When you introvert yourself you go into the peace which you have inside of you. You sit quietly and when you sit calmly, of course the mind will begin to rebel. After some time you don’t want to get up,
for some people they can’t get up, it’s painful, or they go to sleep. But when you go into the calmness of the depths of your heart, in total surrender through your heartfelt sadhana, you enter the chamber of peace - the true inner peace. Through that inner peace which you will project to the outside, you will bring changes. For
example, let’s say when you go to somebody you know who is nervous and very agitated, what do you do? Do you try to calm the person down and advise the person to be positive, or do you also sit and cry with the person? It’s the same when you go to the doctor. The doctor will ask you what kind of problem you have. It is the first question and then you say “Doctor, if I knew what I have, I would not have come to you.” Well, when you go to the doctor, you go because you don’t feel well and you open up and tell the doctor what you don’t feel well about. Does the doctor sit with you and cry? No, the doctor won’t do that. It’s the same with psychiatrists. They advise you to move away from the way you’re thinking and the way you see things. Moving away from this, changes certain things inside of you. It changes the way you are always looking at
it. We were just saying that we see the world and project it as being cruel. The media wants us to see all the cruelty. But there are always also good things and it just depends on how you see it. Very often, one will see one’s own projection of what one has inside of oneself. When one suppresses certain things inside of oneself, of course by suppressing energy deep inside, what will happen? Whenever something happens outside, the suppression will project itself. When that happens there will be complete judgement only. When you learn to accept yourself and learn to be in peace with yourself the way you are, you will see that there is nothing wrong with the world. Things can change and it simply depends on each one. But we can’t say “You change
and I don’t change.” No, instead you have to say “I have changed and now the rest will change.” If there are certain things inside of yourself that you do not accept, be positive about them. You have a choice, the choice is how you look at things. Either you place a judgement saying ‘this is bad’ or you can say ‘this is not for me’ in a positive way. This is the way you look at it differently, in a metaphysical way. The first thing is
to open the heart, open the mind, let peace rise inside of you, each part of you. Whenever you have peace inside of you there is no place for anything else. Whenever there is Love inside of you, there won’t be any place for anything else either. You will become an instrument of that peace and Love wherever you are and whatever you are doing.

Hold tight to the Divine names.....

As long as you have not found yourself, keep trying, keep looking, and the Divine name of Rama will help you, or the Divine name of Krishna, the Divine name of Jesus, all the Divine names will help you to find that. That’s why they say that the bhakti path is one of the easiest paths, but you have to dedicate yourself. It’s not that the next moment, you just divert your mind from your path; or a little wind blows, and you let yourself fall from left to right. So, hold tight to the Divine names, any Divine name that you feel close to – you don’t need to have ten Divine names, you just need one Divine name. If you have a guru mantra, just chant your guru mantra; if you have one Divine name, one form of the Divine that you feel close with, just concentrate on one. It will be more intensified than concentrating on ten Divine names. In the mind of
man, they think that when they have ten, they will advance faster. They will not advance faster. Actually they will advance less fast, because one Divine name is like digging one hole and getting the water; ten Divine names is like digging ten holes to try to get water. You will not get it. So, if you want, just chant one name.

.....enjoy this beautiful Bhajan!!!

Whenever you experience the deepness of Love inside your heart.....

Whenever you experience the deepness of Love inside your heart; whenever you sit down for prayer, bhajans, or meditation; whenever you feel the sense that you don’t feel pain, you don’t feel happiness, you don’t feel hot, you don’t feel cold, [but] you feel a joy, which you can’t even express it, treasure it. There is a word that we can put to this – bliss, but still this word is limited. The only thing I can tell you, you can just feel it. You can’t express it with words.

“Make one step towards God, and he will make a hundred towards you.”

You have to look inside. When you turn inward, the Lord will reveal Himself to you; your Self will reveal itself to you. But you have to be sincere with yourself for that. You have to take your time and enjoy it. So many times people have said to me, “Oh, you know, half an hour of meditation is long enough, and one hour is way too long.” If you can’t do one hour meditation, you should not force yourself. If you can’t meditate for half an hour you should not do it. If you can only do it for one minute, then do a perfect one! Then there is one minute just between you and God, between you and Yourself – so enjoy it! It’s better than meditating for a whole day and not attaining anything!
So keep practicing. I always say it and keep saying it all the time. When you make the effort, the Lord will run to you. It’s said, “Make one step towards God, and he will make a hundred towards you.” It’s true, you know. The moment you are sincere with yourself and you make this one step, you’ll receive His grace. The door will be wide open, and you will see the Lord running to you! You know how beautiful it is, to experience that? How joyful it is! Words can’t express it. I can just say ‘joyful’, but it is beyond that. It even is beyond the word of love itself! The mind can only imagine it, how it is to be continuously, constantly in love. It’s marvellous. This type of love is unconditional. It’s without the expectation of anything in return. It’s just a flowing, a continuous flowing. Be this instrument, all of you! Don’t be scared to open up your heart; don’t be scared of getting hurt. Just love for the sake of loving. Just love because you are love. Just love because you have this fountain inside of you.
But as long as you expect something in return, then you invite sadness and grief to come into your life. You will never be truly happy, because expectation is present. Even when you sit down for meditation, or when you are singing the name of God, don’t expect that God will appear in front of you. Many people do think this way. “Baff”, a big light appears in front of you and Jesus says, “Hi, my child!” Remove this from your mind. Just do it because you love to do it.

Let’s analyse how the human body is.....

The Shastras say that the human body is made of the five elements, the  Pancha Tattva. If you look at these five elements, they are constantly at war with each other.
They can’t be in peace with each other. Can water be in peace with fire? No, it can’t be! That’s why in the human body there is so much imbalance. Even if you see somebody appearing perfect on the outside, there’s no such thing as perfection like that. There is always something going wrong in
the body. Imagine if all the five elements would start fighting with each other, what would happen? It would be terrible, catastrophic. This is within you, not outside! That is what is happening in people.Actually, the human being, in the ladder of creation, is at the top. It’s true, because only by attaining a human body, a human life, you can really attain the Creator
and become One with the Creator. Nowadays when you analyse the people, when you look at people walking
around, you see them walking, yet they are not present in their body. The elements are so much at war inside of them that they are somewhere else. What keeps these elements in balance in us is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God within one’s Self. How would you energise this Spirit? If the Spirit leaves you, you fall dead. You lose everything. Here, when you are alive, you say “This is mine, that is mine; it’s my possession.” Imagine if the Spirit leaves you; what will happen? What is yours? What is mine? Nothing stays. The Gita says  “ You come with nothing and you will leave with nothing.” All that you take, you will leave here. We have incarnated for a reason. We have a human body for a reason, but we will not find this reason until we turn this body into pure Love and devotion. This is where your sadhana comes in. When you develop this pure Love and devotion, then you will really know the meaning of this human body; then you will really enjoy being in this body; then you will know the purpose of being here. Otherwise, you will go left-right, left-right, left-right, left-right  and when the boat sinks, having no boatman, you will sink. Then you have to wait for another life. So don’t waste time, because the time you waste is gone and once it’s gone, don’t think you will have it again. You are living in the right time, the best time of all.

You become as you were before.....let you and God merge together, and become one.

There are different ways of attaining God, and one way is bhakti – devotion! You can have devotion to the Guru, or any form of the Divine. Devotion has no limits. When you open up your heart and let it flow, do you think this kind of love has limits? Love from the heart doesn’t have any limits, but the love here in the head has lots of limits.

As long as we limit love, as long as we keep on saying love has to be like this, or like that, do you think we will attain Divine love? We can’t. I can keep on talking about love, because I know what love is; I have experienced it. All of you know a little about love, but to truly understand it, one must experience it. And to experience it, one must let go of egoism. Egoism is the ‘I’ that keeps you away from realising yourself. Remove the ‘I’. Let you and God merge together, and become one. Like sugar, it gets mixed with water and becomes one. In the same way, let yourself merge together and disappear in the love of God. There will be no egoism that separates man from being Divine; because only Divinity exists. Only the universal consciousness exists. But, when we experience separation, we see the duality of things. We experience love, hate, jealousy, and all these things.

By being the consciousness, being completely Divine, all these things disappear – you become as you were before. And that is for everybody, it is not only for me. It’s not only for a few people who are around me; it’s for all of you. It’s accessible to everybody. If people really take time, just drop inside – everything is there.

“The value of a stone is known only to somebody who knows about gems”

Prayer: that’s what transforms somebody. Through prayer, people find solace; some to attain the lotus feet of the Lord, some to achieve whatever they desire in life. But the main thing is to pray: that’s what transform you, what gives you this inner glow, so that you can call yourself spiritual. People, humans are always on a search. They are always searching for something. Some people search for it in the outside world. Some people search for it in the inside world. But, only few really know the importance of prayer. In the Ramcharitmanas, Tulsidas said “The value of a stone is known only to somebody who knows about gems”. Then they can value how precious the stone is. The same thing: if somebody knows the glory of prayer, the glory of chanting the Divine Names, they know the value of it.

Before I said: prayer distinguishes one from other people outside; it distinguishes why you call yourself spiritual and why the other person is not so spiritual, because there is spirituality everywhere in different ways. In spirituality you reflect the glow. And the more you chant the Divine Name, the more you start to reflect the quality of the Divine, the qualities of love, compassion, joy, happiness, calmness. You start to reflect all these qualities, which the Divine has, through prayer, through the chanting of this Divine Name. So you start to become alike the Divine. And you don’t need to say this joy to somebody, you don’t need to express to somebody that you are happy. This joy that you will be having inside of you, it will reflect itself.

The same when you take the life of Saints. Take the life of Mirabai, Bhakta Prahlad, any Saints who have attained the Divine, they glow this light of the Divine. They glow, they reflect the Love of the Divine through them. They don’t need to talk about God, but they just need to be around. Same with all of you: the more you chant the Divine Names, the more the Divine will start to reflect on you. Then you can call yourself spiritual, because when you become spiritual, all the negative quality is removed from you, all the negative karma that you have created through many lives before, it get removed. And what takes place is this joy – the joy of serving, the joy of really being here, the joy of trying to attain the Lord, you know. And this joy starts to appear with you the more you attune yourself to the Divine. But you have to do the first step, because the Divine is already there. He’s waiting for you.

Prayer, can turn all your life into gold. It can turn all your negativity into purity.

If you write the name of God inside your heart, what will happen?

What happens when you clap your hands? You know on your hands there are lots of meridians. All these meridians are connected to certain inner organs, such as the heart, the liver, the kidneys. So, while clapping you are sending certain energy there. So, if one of these organs has an energy block, it helps release it, so that this inner organ may function in a better way. That’s why when you’re happy you are always clapping the hands. Why when you are happy do you clap the hands? Because it generates, also, happiness and joy. Everybody wants to be happy and everybody wants to be joyful, but there are two kinds of happiness and two kinds of joy. There is a certain joy that lasts only for a short while, a short-term happiness. But, are you looking for that or you are looking for a longer happiness or a longer joyfulness? So, while chanting, when singing, you are expressing yourself, also, by certain movement, which creates this inner joy and this inner joy is connected with love. So, simple joy: you can find it everywhere. Even on the corner of the street you will find it, because simple joys are just the limitation of things you find in the world. So the easier you get it, the easier you lose it. Whereas, the eternal joy is within you and you have to dig deeper inside of you. You have to unite your mind with your heart to find this eternal joy, to receive the grace of this eternal joy. And, the easiest way to find it is to sing, sing the name of God, you know, because while singing the name of God you’re happy and this happiness will awaken this Love. We can talk about Love, but as long as you don’t experience it or you don’t feel it, it’s difficult to understand. And, if you really want to feel it, it’s easy to feel it. You have to quiet this mind and awaken your heart and, when your heart is awakened, Love will flow. And, in Love there is no difference, you know. It crosses all the barriers of difference. That’s how God loves and how human beings have to love, but very often it’s very difficult. We try our best to love like that, but it’s quite difficult, because there are so many things on the outside that disturb the mind, so many things that stop one loving. But, one has not to lose hope, one has to keep trying and trying. And while you chant the Divine Names, this awakens this Love and makes you, also, strong. That means that when you sing the name of God, you are calling, you’re asking Him to awaken within you, you are asking Him to come to you and to reveal Himself to you.

If you write the name of God inside your heart, what will happen? You will also float, but you will float in Divine Love, you will float in Divine Ecstasy, Divine Joy.

A true friend is ready to sacrifice everything......

Christ said: A true friend is ready to sacrifice everything. And, actually, Love is that sacrifice. If you truly love, you will sacrifice everything. Until you have come to the point of really feeling this kind of Love inside of you – and you have to be ready – all the other kinds of love will have expectations. Very often what we call Love, it is just passion or desire. Today we love that person, tomorrow we love another person, but in one year you don’t even remember who these people were. Real Love is to be found deep inside of you, personally. It’s not in someone else, it’s inside of you. It’s your true nature. This is who you are in Reality. The Divine is not far away. He is inside of you. You just need to calm your mind and introvert yourself. So see how much you are truthful towards yourself and how much you really, sincerely want the Divine. True love is everlasting giving, not expectation. We do our sadhana, we do our spiritual practices, only to attain this Love, so that it may become unconditional. For the sake of Unconditional Love, we realise the Unity with the Divine. Then we can say that we are really in Love. As long as it’s here in the mind it is very difficult. Christ said: Love Thy God, with all Thy mind and Spirit. The mind has to be fully on the Divine. The mind has to transcend the limitations and transform itself. Our true Self is in constant Unity. He is each one of us. And that’s true Love. The ancient Greeks said to know Thyself, and you will know everything else. It’s true. Once you know yourself through your practices, you will know everything, because everything is linked together and Love is that which links everything. Life is very precious, you know. Life is actually the most precious thing that one has. So, don’t waste it. Don’t waste time. God has called you to the spiritual path and it’s for a reason. Take full advantage of this life and Realise your Self.

Words of Sri Swami Vishwananda.......

We have a human body for a reason, but we will not find this reason until we turn this body into pure Love and devotion. This is where your sadhana comes in. When you develop this pure Love and devotion, then you will really know the meaning of this human body; then you will really enjoy being in this body; then you will know the purpose of being here.
