What will make you realised? ...

...It is very simple and easy to offer your heart to God. So, whenever you think that you have to offer something to the Lord, first inside of you, offer your heart to Him saying, “Lord, I offer You my heart.

It is not mine anymore, it is Yours. Make me love the way that You Love. Make me Realise this Divine Love.” Spirituality is just about a relationship to God and this Love relationship to the Divine will

make you Realised.

Real happiness is when you can enjoy the Love of God completely, because His Love never fades. The more you love Him, the more you will want to love Him. Such Love one really has to cultivate, you have to love Him and want Him. Bug Him, call Him and as long as He doesn’t give Himself to you, keep harassing Him. Then He will get fed up and just say “Let me give it to him.”

Floating in the Hand of God......

In this kirtan that we just sang, the meaning of the first two lines: Chori Chori Makhan Kha Gayo Re is: very stealthily Krishna is stealing butter and eating it. The second line, Sabke Man Ko Loobha Gayo Re, means: in the same way He steals the butter, the same way God steals the heart of Man.  God steals the hearts of men, the same way, little by little, He steals the heart. This is actually the Love. This is what one has to go through to let one’s heart be stolen by God. The more you resist, the more it becomes difficult. The more you say “Yes, take it. Steal it. It is yours already,” the more you will see how you float in your spiritual path, how you float in the hand of God, but the more you use the mind and try to stop it, the more you will see that there will be lots of pain that will come. The pain gets transformed into Divine Love, merges into Divine Love and becomes Divine Love, because even pain, even problems, all is from Him. The one small step that one has to take is to realise that it is from Him. We know it and we say “Yes, everything is from God,” but when a problem comes we forget about God. We don’t say that it is from God. Actually, there is His Hand in it also, we just need to be aware of that. In the calmness of your mind, in the depth of your heart, you know that everything is His game. All of you who are sitting here know it’s His game. As long as we like this drama, as long as we want to play this game, we will be in the game. That’s what Krishna did as His Lila when he was small, and that’s the same Lila that we are all playing. We think that spirituality is far away. No, spirituality is very near; it’s just here in one’s heart. In all the techniques that we will be talking about very soon – through the grace of Mahavatar Babaji we’ll be doing the Atma Kriya – He is there already. He is already sitting there. All techniques lead you to this path. With all these techniques that we do, including meditation, we are saying to God “Here, I am surrendering myself. Reveal Yourself to me. Let me taste the little sweetness of the Amrita that You are, that is deep within me.” Like I said, through the grace of Mahavatar Babaji, soon we’ll do the Atma Kriya and you will see how easy it is to be in the different mood of the Divine, anytime. Often people think “Why do we have to be spiritual? Why do we have to be ready for God?” Why not just sit down and say “God will give whenever He wants to give?” It’s true if you don’t make any effort, you will not know how to handle what God wants to give you. It’s only when you start making your effort and say “Yes God, I’m working on myself to be ready for You. I’m working on myself to be ready for this realisation and I’m trying to be ready also to help others”, then God will give it to you. Even if He has to give it on a silver plate or even on a diamond plate, He will do it, but the effort, you have to do it. When you look at the mind, it’s decorated with so many beautiful things that it traps people into it. To become spiritual is to divert this beauty of the mind to the heart, and go in the boat of the heart to reach the final destination, to reach the Oneness of God within you. All that you are practicing is good; whatever path you take is good. Know that the main thing is that you have to reach. The more you say “Yes, take it. Steal it. It is yours already”, the more you will see how you float in your spiritual path, how you float in the hand of God. But the more you use the mind and try to stop it, the more you will see that there will be lots of pain that will come.

When the drop merges into the ocean, there is no identification.....

You see, God is not limited to one form. He’s unlimited. That’s why He is God. If God were limited, then He would not be God. Then He would be the fashion of one’s mind, but God is not that. Even if you give a form to Him, He’s not that. He’s beyond our creation. He’s beyond our mind’s creation. Like it is said in the Bible “Give what belongs to God back to God.” So what belongs to Him is everything. In our mind we think that something belongs to us. Yesterday I said that we came with nothing; we will go with nothing. All that belongs to us is from Him. He creates everything and He will annihilate everything in Him. Everything is born from Him and everything will merge back into Him. It’s of no use to resist Him. You can try your best, you can try life after life, but at the end it’s only Him who will win. Only your True Self will win. And you are part of Him. You are the droplet in the ocean, but you are not yet the ocean and you will never become the ocean, because you stay always this drop. When the drop merges into the ocean, there is no identification. Where is the drop and where is the ocean? Until you reach the point of merging into the ocean, Love Him. Serve Him. Enjoy Him. This is in your capacity to do. All that we are doing is to express our Love to Him, to express how much we want Him, how much we want to Realise Him.

Desire the Ultimate, and you shall have it. Surrender your body, mind and soul. Focus on any Divine aspect firstly, and then you realise your Divinity. Remember that whoever you are, even if your advancement is slow or fast, God loves you. He loves you even more than you can think about love, more than the mind of man can think about.So always trust in this love, always hang on this love, and never let go of Him. He is always  with you. Even if you do not feel Him, even if you do not see Him, He is there. 

And to love God is...

If humans could understand the love that they have inside of them, you would always sing the same way Radha sang the name of Krishna; the same way that Maria Magdalena had love for Jesus, the same way all the saints in the world have love for God. All of you can achieve this love. All of you can become this reality because this is what you ultimatly are. Pure love, pure Divinity.Only the mind stops you from realising it. We often talk about the mind. But God has given a heart to man, too. The heart is not just here to pump the blood in the whole body. It’s also to feel. Very often, when you get hurt, the heart has a lot of pain, doesn’t it? And when you feel happiness and joy, the heart is wide open. And to love God is... I can’t even express it in words actually, because it’s a mixture of everything in it. Sometimes you will fight with God, sometimes you will blame God, and sometimes you will just be completely in love with God. And at the end of all three, it’s just this pure love. And this is the freedom that all of you have. But you have to really express it, to really let it grow. Not with a ‘but’. So many times we say, “We try to open our heart, but there is always something in the way.” Try it, you will see. One day you will surrender completely, saying, “Open my heart. Here I am. I surrender to You – body, mind and soul is Yours!

Then He will get fed up and just say “Let me give it to him.” ....

You will always long for more and more .....

When this Love gets awakened, the longing, it’s like when you give a nice cake to somebody. You will always want this cake again.
It’s the same thing once you discover the Love of God in you and around you, you will always long for more and more and this longing crosses over the body, mind and intellect. Then the soul reveals itself.
Very often when people talk about the soul, it’s just mere words, because the soul in itself is very shy, in the same way that God is very shy.
That’s why He shows Himself from time to time only. Until Love reaches a certain degree inside of you, the soul doesn’t reveal itself. 

Be aware that, even if you don’t feel it, the Divine is always with you. As you long for Him, He longs more for you.

“It’s just the love of God”.....

Isn’t it beautiful to sing the name of God? It’s very easy. It’s so easy to merge with God. It’s so easy to realise His Divine love. Just take one name and recite it continuously. Make the power of the mind combine with the power of the mantra. Let the mantra take over the mind. Let yourself become the mantra. What is in this name, Narayana, or Jesus, has the capacity to give peace to the mind. It’s very simple. Wherever you are, keep singing, keep reciting. It’s not limited. Wherever you are, even if you are travelling, you are on the toilet, you are taking a shower… recite the name of God. If you are cooking, you will have better food. Become this mantra. And let your heart open. And let this love which is inside of you being reflected on the outside. You will become this Divine instrument. Let everybody who is next to you feel this love so that they will also want it. They will ask, “Where does this love come from?” Some of them will say to you, “You look different. You reflect something different.” You will answer..... “It’s just the love of God”.

Whenever you experience the deepness of Love inside your heart.....

 Whenever you experience the deepness of Love inside your heart; whenever you sit down for prayer, bhajans, or meditation; whenever you feel the sense that you don’t feel pain, you don’t feel happiness, you don’t feel hot, you don’t feel cold, [but] you feel a joy, which you can’t even express it, treasure it. There is a word that we can put to this – bliss, but still this word is limited. The only thing I can tell you, you can just feel it. You can’t express it with words.

The only desire that will ultimately fulfill you is Him....

Let your only desire be focused on God, because the only desire of mankind, the only desire of the Spirit, is God. All other desires have limits. When you desire something and you want to possess it, the moment that you get the thing that you had desired, all your feelings are gone. You start disliking this thing, because it is not the Ultimate.

The only desire that will ultimately fulfill you is God, because he is unlimited in everything. In addition, in this desire for God, you will never have a question, whereas with the other desires you always have questions. For example, if you start a business, the desire is great. You are very happy, because the main thing is to get money. What happens then? The question arises, how to get the money. When you get the money, the desire is still not fulfilled, because you will think how to get more. Then there will be other things, like how you will pay the people who are working for you, or how will you buy other things for your business to grow more? So in this game, you will always ask the question, how will I do this? You will never really be satisfied and really happy with yourself. That does not mean you should stop your business or should stop your work. It is important that you work, but it is also important that you work with non-attachment, a non-attached feeling. Work and surrender to the Divine. In the morning, praise the Lord and say: “I’m an instrument in your hands. Guide me, be with me!” At the end of the day, before you go to sleep, surrender everything, every action, even if it was not a good action. Analyse it and surrender it to the Divine. Be completely detached from whatever you do, and focus your mind on the Lord. There was a great poet, Adi Shankaracharya who said,“Bhaja Govindam, Govindam Bhajam Muramate.” Meaning, if mankind would realise how foolish mankind is... We do not realise that the Ultimate of everything is Govinda, is God. If man would realise that everything comes from the source, which is God, why not take the source itself? Why just want something that will be finished after some time?

Even Lahiri Mahasaya, who was a very great yogi, in one of his previous lives when he used to live with Mahavatar Babaji, he had the desire to have a golden palace, and this desire for this golden palace made him incarnate again on earth. Because of the grace of Mahavatar Babaji, his love, and really his compassion for everybody, Babaji guided him and fulfilled his wish during this life. When Babaji appeared to him, he materialised a very huge golden palace, with lots of diamonds and all the precious stones that you can imagine inside. He was very amazed with everything, and then Babaji de-materialized it. Just the same way he made it appear, he also made it disappear. When you fall at the feet of Babaji, think of Babaji and pray to him, “If You could create this big palace, if You are the source of everything, why will I need just a palace? Isn’t it better that I take you completely? You are the ultimate. You are the goal of all life. Let me have you!”

Chant the name of God and be in love with God....

On your spiritual way; there are lots of things that you have to get rid of before achieving complete oneness with the Divine. That doesn’t mean that God is far away from you. He is here all the time, and He is waiting, telling you, “wake up and make yourself realised”, because you were born with this realisation! It’s just that all this dirt from the mind is limiting the Self. Cross over this, chant the name of God and be in love with God, because He is the only one that can really love you unconditionally, He is the only one who really gives to you without expecting something in return. Try to achieve this Love and to become this Love. Try to realise how much love you have inside of you and then spread it. Love can’t be kept. Like that you become an instrument of the Divine and He reflects through you, He acts through you. And then you realise what your mission is.

In the depth of this love you’ll be one with the Divine.....

Look at Mirabai, one of the devotees of Krishna. Do you know her story? Some of you might know it, and some of you don’t. She was a queen, and her love for Krishna was so great, it was beyond everything. When she got married, she said to her husband, “My love for Krishna is beyond all your love, that you can understand. I see Him in you and in all of you who are around.” Whenever she used to sing Krishna’s name or sing a bhajan, he was present there. Such was her love that the Divine manifested Himself there.

Whenever you call from deep within your heart, whenever you call any aspect of the Divine, the Divine will take that aspect and come to you. Mirabai’s love was so great that at the end of her life they blamed her for so many things – but she was fixed and steady on her Krishna.

There was a lot of jealousy around her. But this is normal. You see, when you have a power point, all the souls around want the same thing. But to get it, they don’t want to do anything. They just want to sit and be given it on a silver plate. You will receive it on a silver plate, yes, but first you have to make the effort. Otherwise the Divine will give you the silver plate, but your hand will be like this… it will fall down!

That’s why I’m talking about opening the heart of man, opening your heart to love. Because you can love, you can love beyond what your mind is thinking about love. In the depth of this love you’ll be one with the Divine. Beyond all the duality that the mind creates is only the Self, and that’s what each one is here for. And no matter which path you are following, at the end, each path will reach that point.

All paths are right but you have to be disciplined in them. When I say disciplined I don’t mean forcing or pressing. This is spirituality. Something that has to emerge from the heart of man, is like a flower that opens without any force. Let it open, and let it shine with beauty.

If somebody comes and tells you, “Oh, you are not spiritual, or you are like that...” don’t ever believe them, because spirituality is not visible to any human eyes. You can be religious on the outside and this is visible to everybody. Many people are religious outside just to escape something, but spirituality is within you. And only you and God know it. You know how much you open your heart; you know how much you love. It’s not upon me or anybody else to tell you that. I can tell you, just open up your heart and love. It’s up to you to do it – without any fear and without any doubt that your heart is open.

Only the Lord, only Him, nothing else

Focus on the true joy that you have inside of you. Focus on the Love of God that you have inside of you. Focus on the Divine, which is present inside of you and focus in a way that nothing on the outside can move you. No matter what comes, nothing can move you! Christ said it: Make your faith, build your faith on the stone. Be so strong that no wind can move you, that no wind can destroy this. Become a pillar of this faith. This kind of concentration you should have: when you’re focused, when you sit down for meditation, you don’t hear anything, you don’t think about anything, only the Lord, only Him, nothing else.

The Love for God

All of you can achieve this Love. All of you can become this Reality, because this is what you ultimately are – Pure Love, Pure Divinity.

It’s like He is the dearest one......

The Gopis had such Love for Krishna, which is not comparable to any other kind of love. It’s amazing the love relationship that the people have for Krishna. It’s really one to one. It’s like He is the dearest one. They will tell Him anything. They will scold Him even. Once something goes wrong, they will scold Him. They know that He is God, but yet the Love that they feel inside their hearts is even stronger. When do you really feel you can, you are free to tell somebody something? When you are close with that person, isn’t it? Or when you are not? When you are not, you don’t bother about it. But, when you are close with someone, you will feel free to express whatever, even if it is anger, but this closeness, this relationship, this Love, that’s what is the most important thing. It’s how our relationship to the Divine is. This kind of Love our soul has for the Paramatma and if we awaken this relationship, it will come.

In the relationship to the Divine you forget about yourself completely. You forget about your own Realisation, you forget about what will make you happy. Like it is said in the Bible: The greatest happiness is when you can give your life for your friend, isn’t it? True relationship is when one can give oneself completely

and when you are in love you always forget about yourself.

Surrender........

When your body, mind and soul have become one and are offered to the altar of the Lord, He will happily give everything to you. He will give Himself to you. The king surrendered to the priest, who had understood that real teaching is within us, not in books. When you give yourself completely to God, God will also give Himself completely to you. So, call upon the Lord from your heart. When your heart calls Him fully, when your mind is completely centred on Him, you will see that He will also completely surrender to you. Then you will be in this bliss, in this Love, continuously. You will be continuously in love with God. You will be continuously in love with everybody and everything around you. This Love, you can’t understand it with your mind. It surpasses all the love that this world can say about love. You can attain this Divine Love, this Divine Ecstasy only when you surrender.
