What I want to share from my experiences is that love conquers everything. It is my hope that it will inspire the readers to open their hearts to the Divine. If we can try to understand that we all are equally part of the Divine and are here to achieve this greater Truth and to realise our Self - if we make this our goal and do everything with Love…then everything will be lovely and you will always be happy.

There was a blind man who was taken to a big hole......

There was a blind man who was taken to a big hole. Some people then closed him in. In this hole there were eighty-four exits. Among these eighty-four exits, only one door was open. So they put the man inside and told the man to find this one door. So the man stopped, found the first door, tried to push it, but could not. Then the next door…the same thing. He reached the eighty-third door, but he didn’t know it. He had not been counting. When he was about to push this eighty-fourth door, his hand started to itch. So he forgot about the door and started scratching his hand. While scratching his hand, he missed the eighty-fourth door. Likewise, for many humans the door is now here. Don’t let the itching of the world get you. You want liberation? Make it strong in your mind; make it strong deep inside your heart. Let it reach fulfilment outside. You are this light. And you all can merge back in this light. You have to want it very, very strongly. It has to be the most important thing in your life. There are many divine incarnations. They all come, they all teach, they all go. People at different times assimilate it in their own way. But we are living in such an age right now that it is very easy to attain Self-realisation. We just need to be simple with ourselves. Simple in the mind. When I say simple, I mean just to love. Make this love unconditional. This love that you have inside of you, the source of all things, let it flow. Don’t try to stop it; don’t put any barrier around it. Now you are putting up barriers. How long can these barriers hold this love? It will overflow one day. So let it overflow, let it flow right now. But at the end of life you will say, “Oh, I should have done this much more before. I wasted all my life in running after things that have a limit to them.” Close your eyes, drop inside your heart and feel this fullness. Feel the greatness of yourself. And this greatness is you. This greatness is who you really are. Without any egoism. Keep concentrating on this greatness inside you. This great love which is emanating from your heart. It passes through each cell of your body. Try to reflect it outside. Isn’t it beautiful to see each person as the full body of light? Let the eighty-fourth door of your heart open up. And if your mind is troubling you, sing the name of God.

You will become an instrument of that peace and Love wherever you are and whatever you are doing...

Once, somebody asked a Saint “How do you see the world?” The Saint answered “Well, each person creates their own reality in this world.” What we see outside is a combination of a mass reality. With this mass reality, of course one person can change and make a difference, a small one. It’s better when one person changes, introverts oneself, opening the heart to Love, because Love is the greatest thing in this world and Love is the only way through it. It’s only through Love that people will change and it’s only through that, that there can be peace and for that you have to open up. That’s what I was saying in the beginning, that it is a time to introvert oneself. Our mind is always running to the outside, so we always see the cruelty, the negativity. Whenever you read the newspaper, whenever you put on the TV, what you see is always negativity. This gets imprinted in you to make your own mind become negative. You believe what you see is very bad, so then what happens? You start to judge and the mind becomes very judgemental. This is like that
or this is like this. But are you changing? No, you are not changing. That is the same thing everybody is doing around the world, there is no difference. Does it contribute to bringing peace and harmony to the world? No
it doesn’t. When you introvert yourself you go into the peace which you have inside of you. You sit quietly and when you sit calmly, of course the mind will begin to rebel. After some time you don’t want to get up,
for some people they can’t get up, it’s painful, or they go to sleep. But when you go into the calmness of the depths of your heart, in total surrender through your heartfelt sadhana, you enter the chamber of peace - the true inner peace. Through that inner peace which you will project to the outside, you will bring changes. For
example, let’s say when you go to somebody you know who is nervous and very agitated, what do you do? Do you try to calm the person down and advise the person to be positive, or do you also sit and cry with the person? It’s the same when you go to the doctor. The doctor will ask you what kind of problem you have. It is the first question and then you say “Doctor, if I knew what I have, I would not have come to you.” Well, when you go to the doctor, you go because you don’t feel well and you open up and tell the doctor what you don’t feel well about. Does the doctor sit with you and cry? No, the doctor won’t do that. It’s the same with psychiatrists. They advise you to move away from the way you’re thinking and the way you see things. Moving away from this, changes certain things inside of you. It changes the way you are always looking at
it. We were just saying that we see the world and project it as being cruel. The media wants us to see all the cruelty. But there are always also good things and it just depends on how you see it. Very often, one will see one’s own projection of what one has inside of oneself. When one suppresses certain things inside of oneself, of course by suppressing energy deep inside, what will happen? Whenever something happens outside, the suppression will project itself. When that happens there will be complete judgement only. When you learn to accept yourself and learn to be in peace with yourself the way you are, you will see that there is nothing wrong with the world. Things can change and it simply depends on each one. But we can’t say “You change
and I don’t change.” No, instead you have to say “I have changed and now the rest will change.” If there are certain things inside of yourself that you do not accept, be positive about them. You have a choice, the choice is how you look at things. Either you place a judgement saying ‘this is bad’ or you can say ‘this is not for me’ in a positive way. This is the way you look at it differently, in a metaphysical way. The first thing is
to open the heart, open the mind, let peace rise inside of you, each part of you. Whenever you have peace inside of you there is no place for anything else. Whenever there is Love inside of you, there won’t be any place for anything else either. You will become an instrument of that peace and Love wherever you are and whatever you are doing.

“Make your own experience about the Love of God”....

We can always think that “God is like this and like this and like this”, but deep inside we are wrong with ourselves. Each one has their own perspective of God and each one has their own way to achieve God. Some can just sing the name of God and they will be in bliss and Realise God completely. But for some, they have to really strive, strive very deeply to achieve, to Realise God. So each one has their level. That’s why very often I say to people “Make your own experience about the Love of God.” I can talk about the Love of God. You can read about the Love of God, but it’s each one’s own experience. When you make your own experience, even a small experience, you will feel great joy and great bliss. You will enjoy it.

In the Divine aspect of your true Self, there is no judgement.....

Christ has shown that we should not be scared of death, but many people think it is a terrible thing and
that we have to fear it. Actually, it’s not to be feared realising that you are eternal, realising that the Light, which you have inside, your Soul, your Spirit, is part of God Himself, so it is eternal. Like we heard yesterday, when we were reading the Gospel, Christ said: I am the Way, the Truth and the Light. There is no one who goes to the Father without passing by me. This means that we have to become like Christ. We have to become the children of God. We have to become the sons and daughters of God, so that we can
rise from this just human nature to the Divine state. When we become the Truth, when we become the Light Itself, we can attain the Father. We can arise on the inside, which is the pureness of the Father, [so it can] be exalted, it can be radiated through us.
And in this glory, in the Divine aspect of your true Self, there is no judgement. There is just pure Love. So, that’s what Christ exemplified by His death and resurrection, like all the great Saints and like all the Devas, also, who have shown that, above all, to reach that state, one has to be humble. One has not to be bound by pride and ego. And, only when one is humble, can one attain the Father. And, only when one loves the way He has shown us to love, like all the Saints have shown us to love, it is that one can really attain God, you know. But with the pride and judgement that so many always do things they will never reach God. And, very often, you will see that many of these people who always judge, think of themselves as being very spiritual and think highly of themselves. And this is how pride makes us think that we are very important and that we are very special. Everybody is special. We all carry the same Light, so all are
special, but some can shine it and some can’t, though they have it, they have the same Light. So, the death [and resurrection by Christ] of Lazarus is showing us that we all carry this Light and that we all can make things happen. It is not only about that, but also the outside, about helping other people, but we have to will it, we have to really want it. And all of you will say one thing “Yes, we want it,” but it is not happening and
it will not happen, because your want has so much pride inside, so much ego “only for me, only me”, that one says, also, that “if I have it, then I can give it”. I’ll tell you one thing: if you have it, you will
never give it, because you think that when you have it, then you will give it, but the moment you have it, you will disappear! So, we think that we ourselves know best, but only God knows best. He knows when to give and He knows what to give and to whom to give. What we can do is to just purify ourselves, always. Before we have not purified ourselves, it’s very difficult. If we have not purified, firstly, our mind, it is very difficult. Like Swami Shivananda said “one of the main steps on the spiritual way is self-purification” is purification of the mind, and when the mind is pure, you can go slowly, step by step. You don’t need to run, you know. Let everything come to you, because if you run, you will fall, you will hit yourself, your feet will hurt, and you will badly fall down. But if you go slowly, God will help you, The Divine Mother will help you.So by rising today, the Gospel is showing how important death is. It is showing how important it is to have reverence for all the people who have died: your mother, your father, your grandfather, your grandmother, because they are on the other side, and probably, they have risen to the other level, if they were good. They can help you. They can intercede next to Him and say “Help them down there.” Why do we pray to the Saints? Of course, they are dead and we go to the Relic Chapel with all the dead and all the bones there and we are thinking “Why are all these bones there?”, but the bones carry the spirit of the Saints, they carry the Holy Spirit. Like Saint Augustine said: the Saints, they are the movable temples of the Spirit. Remember in the Bible when Christ said “you can say something against me, you can say something against the Father, and you will be forgiven, but if you say something against the [Holy] Spirit, you will never be forgiven”. So, the bodies of the Saints carry this vibration of the [Holy] Spirit. Nowadays, when you go to certain Churches, you see how they look after the Saints, and you see how in the Orthodox Church they really have great veneration for the Saints and they know how important it is to venerate them. That’s why when you go to the Orthodox Church, if you go to Egypt, to Greece, or to Russia, you will see that the veneration of the Saints is very, very, very important and that they have great respect, really great veneration for the dead. But if you go to certain churches, especially in the West, you can remove that much dust from them, because they don’t care. Some people would throw away all the relics. Last week, in the antique market, a man was throwing away all the bones, and he said that he is just caring for the artistic point of view, for the object, and the relic was not important. So you see, they just throw them away without any respect, without any veneration. Why are these things in the antique shops? It’s because, firstly, the Church has thrown them away, you know. So, they are here now. You can venerate the Saints afterwards, after you have taken Communion. They will help, when you ask them for help, because you see, all the Saints are still doing lots of healing and lots of miracles when people go to their tombs, because they are present, even if they have been dead for a long time. The Spirit of God is inside of them, even though, for sure, the Saints have incarnated again, many times more, but yet, the Spirit of God,
which is inside, the Spirit at that moment where they rose to Christ Consciousness is still present. You can’t kill it, nothing can burn it, and not even time can destroy it.Glory be to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and to the ages of ages. Amen.

It’s a Love that transcends happiness and transcends pain itself.....

The great form of Hanuman showing the intensity of bhakti, where the Lord consumes one’s self completely. Same thing when Saint Theresa of Avila said, “The Lord has pierced my heart, my heart has been pierced by the Lord’s sword, by the
Lord’s arrows”. It is this intensity of Love, not a Love that you
can say, “Yes, I’m feeling very happy”. This is what everybody
understands of Love, you know. No, it is not like that. It’s a Love that transcends happiness and transcends pain itself. And this intensity – it was the same thing as when they opened the heart of Saint Theresa of Avila. When Theresa of Avila died, they removed the heart - this was the culture in the 16th century - and when they opened the heart, they saw that her heart was pierced. It was the same as when they saw Jesus: when they showed His heart, it was pierced. So, this intensity, like I have explained many times before, is a burning sensation for the Lord. But sadly nowadays, people don’t know about this intense longing for God. They know only a little bit about how to long for God but then, the next moment, what passes through their mind, what they see is, “Oh, I need this…” They forget about the Lord. They run after the world. It’s so easy to run after the world because you run and the world is running afteryou. But you have to run after the Lord.

It’s so easy, isn’t it?

There is a saying – approach Him with love, reach Him in that love, meet Him in love, embrace Him with love and merge with Him and become Eternal Love! I find it so beautiful.

So we start our journey to approach the Divine. Our first step is searching for Him. This is when in our life we feel the need to pray. Prayer is this essence of realising that there is something greater – whether you call it God, Light, Spirit… The search starts with prayer, and prayer makes the link, prayer makes the first step to this union.

Then one will reach the next step by meeting and reaching that love. By prayer the heart opens up, firstly towards the outside, then towards the inside. We meet Him in love. Through the reciting and singing of God’s names, like you are doing, you reach the point where love is, where everybody is sharing one goal: the achievement of that love.

Then there comes the point of meeting Him in love. This is happening in meditation, when you sit down and have the connection with your true Self. You meet the love within yourself and start this discussion, start this communication with the Self, about knowing who you really are. In this meeting we embrace that love, we become one with it and realise it more and more.

You grow more and more each day. And with this Divine love you will realise that there is no difference between the love that you knew at the beginning and now. And with this love there is no difference between you, me – anybody. But this Eternal Love, this Eternal Light resides in everything.

“Lord, do whatever you want with me, whenever you want with me, and however you want with me”.

“Lord, do whatever you want with me, whenever you want with me, and however you want with me”. And in your mind don´t ask any questions. This is a poison, because the mind always doubts. The mind always thinks it knows best. And when you surrender this mind to the Divine, bhakti will arise, devotion will arise. And when devotion arises, the purity of Love will also arise together with it. It´s not a love where we just say “I love you, I love you”. It´s a Love where when we say “I love you”, there is no condition in it. It is not “I love you because of something. I love you because of your body. I love you because of your wealth. I love you because you are beautiful outside and if I pull the skin from your body, I don´t love you anymore”. But it’s because when you say “I love you” you love Him the way He is. And that´s the purity of Love, the Unconditional Love, the way God loves, the way your heart knows how to love. That´s why you do feel Love, but the moment you start to put conditions to that Love, it fades. But when you stick to this purity of Love, and make this Love grow, it will grow. Because Love is like a seed, which is inside the heart of man: the seed has to grow, has to blossom, also. It has to germinate and grow big; the seed can´t just stay like that. That´s what Christ said, also. There are so many similarities between Hinduism and Christianity. Christ said: If you plant a seed on a stone, it will never grow. But if you plant it in the heart of man it shall grow.” And this is the Love in the heart of man, when real Love is felt, when real Love starts to grow. It grows in six different stages, which are called: Sneha Prem, Pranaya Prem, Mana Prem, Raga Prem, Anuraga Prem, and Maha Bhav. These stages of Love - of course, I will now not go to detail about it - grow when this purity is there, which leads you to complete surrender to the Divine. But first, what is in regard to normal life, is to calm the mind and let Love itself start to grow inside of the heart. Only through this Love will you know who you are. And this is not up to me to tell you, it’s up to you to make the first step.

Sri Swami Vishwananda tells us today.....

Spirituality is humility, is respect and is Love above all. We all Love. All Religions, all paths and all Masters say to Love and that’s spirituality. It is so simple.

We are so bound by our pride......

It’s easy to talk about humility, but sometimes difficult to practice, because we are so bound by our pride, which makes ego perceive us to be above everybody else. If we really want to change something, if we really want to let go of this pride, it will happen, but first we have to want it. We have to say “Yes, I want it!” and not superficially. Many people say, “Yes, I want it, Swamiji. I don’t want to be proud. I try my best to get rid of it, but it’s not leaving me!” But it’s not that it is not leaving you, but you are not leaving it. This is the difference, you know? When one is humble, one will not even care about putting oneself completely down and regarding everybody else higher. This is the beginning of how to learn to be humble, to learn to put yourself down and say that everybody else knows better than you. Keep repeating to yourself, keep reminding yourself of that and you will learn from everything and from everyone. That’s true humility. Have you heard about the Baha’i faith and the prophet Baha’u’llah? He used to say to his disciples “If you find in some person nine bad vices and one good thing, forget about the nine bad ones and think about the good one.” But what do we do always–we judge. We have to cultivate love for all. Then we can really be humble and see it’s very easy to get rid of it, it’s easy to put pride away. But it all depends on your sincerity when you say “Yes, I want to change; yes, I want to be humble.” Don’t just say superficially that you want to be humble because you have read about it and, when you meet someone who offends you, you fire this person. No, learn! Learning will never finish. Like the great saints say, from day one until the end you will learn, because there are so many things in this world to learn about. And there are so many beautiful things. There is so much beauty around and inside of you, but you have to take time and see it. If your mind is always running forward and your body is running backward, you are missing a lot. So calm the mind. It is only in the stillness that you will find relief. That’s why you meditate, no? Why do you think you meditate? Why do you think you practise your spiritual practice? Tell me. Is it to get a note saying: I have practiced Kriya. I have practiced this meditation or that meditation? No, it’s not about that. It’s about Realising your Self, about becoming this true Self, and to become that true Self, the easiest way is to be humble and be loving to all.

Each particle reflects the light of God – this is the Truth...

Often when people use the intellect, the mind, to find the truth they become dogmatic. They close themselves in the tunnel where they don’t see anything else. They don’t see the beauty; they just see what the mind perceives to see. Whereas with the truth in your heart, when it opens up, one sees beyond what the physical eyes can see. There are so many beautiful flowers; it is so beautiful for the physical eyes, isn’t it? But it is much more beautiful to see with the inner eyes. The light that shines through all these flowers, all around you – this is the Truth.

Each particle reflects the light of God – this is the Truth. And this Truth is accessible for everybody. There is not any dogmatic thinking in it. It is free. The only thing is that you need to take a little bit of time to be able to see it. That is up to you. Nobody else can do it for you. You have the grace of the master; you have the grace of God. It is up to you if you want to let go of the power of your mind and gradually achieve the heart. You don’t need to do much; you don’t need to force yourself.

There are many people that say that they have to sit down to meditate. By saying this they already put pressure on themselves. They are already thinking of how the meditation will be, their expectation is great. They think that they ought to enjoy a few minutes of it, but they don’t enjoy it. You think this will help them? It doesn’t help. It’s only when you let go of all expectation that this inner truth will reveal itself.

You have to make a difference in this world.....

Today I will talk about the self-confidence, also about the self-respect. So, often when travelling around looking how people are, how people live in different parts of the world and also how far along spirituality is. It’s a bit sad, actually, because people long for peace, people long for happiness; people long to be free, but yet, when you see how they live their life, you ask the questions “Will they ever be free; will they ever be happy? Will they ever be happy the way they live?” Well, if you ask the question, the answer will be “No.” Imagine how lucky you are, sitting here, to sing the Divine Names. How lucky it is that God chose you to be on a spiritual path. But it doesn’t end only here, because when you are on the spiritual path, very often I’ve seen people very shy, very shy to say that they are on this path. They are shy to say that they love God. Well, if you are shy to say that you are on a spiritual path and you love God, where is the self-confidence in it? Where is the faith in it? Where is the faith in yourself? You should never be afraid of saying that you love God, because this is the only thing; He is the only One that you can love, really. And only by being true to yourself, by being sincere to yourself, you can really change something. Like that, you don’t only change yourself, but you change other people also. People are scared of the spiritual path, because they see the limitation in the outside. If spiritual people limit themselves by being scared of the outside, well, it will not help. It will not help others to change. Like I said last time, become an instrument of this Divine Love. If you become an instrument of this Divine Love, you have to spread it. You have to make a difference in this world, not only in your life, but also in your surroundings.

Just Love.......

Love is all there is. Love is all you have to do. The rest will take care of itself. Those who have inner ears will hear. The words are like a sweet love song that if you allow it to touch you – will change your life forever.

Swami vishwananda in Slowakai

Swami Vishwananda said:" Love is with form and without form. Love resides inside every person. The mind can perceive the love with form but cannot comprehend love without form, the mind thinks in images. The mind want to quickly understand every thing. To comprehend love without form the consciousness is needed. The consciousness have to awake to perceive this love. When you have touched this love inside you you start to become this love. God reveals himself to you and His qualities reveal themselves to you. You start vibrating these qualities.

Words of Sri Swami Vishwananda...

The only path is to love and to be in love continuously, you realise how much God loves His creation. The same way that God loves, the same way you can also love.

Saints love everyone

“Saints love everyone in the same way. They see that everybody is part of God and His creation. For them the question about race, culture or religion doesn’t arise. We should take their example. Our planet and all life on it were created through love, preserved through love and will return to love.”

See with the inner eyes.....

It is much more beautiful to see with the inner eyes. The light that shines through all these things around you and in you – this is the Truth. Each particle reflects the light of God – this is the Truth. And this Truth is accessible for everybody.

Only through Love

Love is the most important thing and we each have to become an emissary of that Divine Love. And to become an emissary of that Love, we have to realise firstly how important it is, because it’s only through Love that the world will change. It’s only through Love that peace and harmony will be restored. Love has many aspects and one of the aspects is harmony and another aspect is unity.

Like Sri Krishna said in the Gita: A true yogi must first realise Me within himself, then, he realises Me as an extension of the Self everywhere. Like I said yesterday in the story of Krishna’s flute, we just give ourselves. Be like that. Be in the hands of God. May you be ready always to be His messenger, His tool, to spread His Love.

Saturday, June 11, 2011

Words of Sri Swami Vishwananda.....

When you become equal toward the outside, by knowing that everything and everybody is One, you will love everybody; you will love firstly yourself. As I said before, you are the temple of God. God dwells inside of you. You will realise this Love for yourself. You will know that He is here, sitting here all the time.

True beautiful Words for us.....enjoy!

Sri Swami Vishwananda's message to us all......

His message is simple: Just Love. Yes, just love. Love is all you have to do. The rest will take care of itself. Those who have inner ears will hear. The words are like a sweet love song that if you allow it to touch you – will change your life forever. Because it will change you, and make you want to become again that which you already are, always have been, always will be - just Love.

Words of Sri Swami Vishwananda

"The more you advance in spirituality the more you will advance in discovering this love and the more your path will become clear. So this is the main foundation of spirituality, love, just love and nothing else."
