What I want to share from my experiences is that love conquers everything. It is my hope that it will inspire the readers to open their hearts to the Divine. If we can try to understand that we all are equally part of the Divine and are here to achieve this greater Truth and to realise our Self - if we make this our goal and do everything with Love…then everything will be lovely and you will always be happy.

Sri Swami Vishwananda tells us today

If you want to wake up the Divine, which is sleeping within your heart, call His name. Of course, one will say “We don’t really need to shout to call Him”, but He will enjoy your call. When He is lying down in your heart, He will enjoy your call. Why do we sing? Why do you think that people, when they sing, are in such a great joy? They forget about everything. Why is it? It’s because when we sing the power of mind is less in action. We are deeper into this Divine energy, because all the vibrations are cosmic energy. There is one technique called the Nada Yoga or Nada Kriya that explains the power of sound. And you will see that all the sounds emerge from the vibration OM and everything is vibration. Our life itself is a vibration. What is life? Life is divine. And how many people know what life is? How many people know this Divine? How many people know how precious life is? Once you realise what life is, you will see life in a completely different way. Life is not just working, eating and sleeping, like people very often think. People enslave themselves in work. They enslave themselves in eating. Most of the time they don’t eat properly. And they enslave themselves in just sleeping. Life goes on and when the time comes for their departure, then they realise “Oops, I have missed something.” When they look back and see how many opportunities they had of realising the beauty of life, they regret because they realise how many opportunities came on their way, so that they could realise themselves, so that they could realise how great is this gift of life that God has given! And yet, they wasted it. Again I ask the question: What is life? The Divine is far away. For the mind to understand the Divine is very difficult. Until you have really cleansed the mind completely, until you have really purified the mind completely, it is quite difficult to understand the Divine. Love. Life is Love. And Love, of course, is Divine. Love is God. But the feeling of Love, that’s what life is all about, to Realise this great Love, not just this partial love when today we say “I love you” and tomorrow “Who is that person?” Life is not that love, but the Love that is beyond expression, this Love that is unconditional, which is in everything around you. That’s what is life. Have you ever sat down and looked at the nature? Have you ever felt the nature? That Love which is burning inside of you, that Life which is inside of you is everywhere. If you analyse the Truth around you, if you analyse the beauty around you, you will realise that we are all linked together by one thing, which is Love. And it’s beyond the religions, it’s beyond the colours, it’s beyond your status in the outside. It’s beyond the duality that is in your mind, because Love doesn’t know any duality. Love just knows how to Love. And Love doesn’t expect anything. We express this Love every day. Some do it consciously and for some it happens unconsciously. The Divine Love we are talking about right now. And when you take time through your spiritual practice, you will realise the beauty of Love, the beauty of life and you will know why you are here. And once you have opened this fountain, this tap of Love, Love can just flow, nothing else.

Sri Swami Vishwananda talks about........

You try to imagine a little bit with the mind, how close God is. It’s difficult, isn’t it? The mind will never let you imagine that, the mind will never let it. Only when you start thinking with the mind of the heart – then you can realise the Divinity completely.

So to think with the heart, how to do it? This is why meditation is important, when you can sit with yourself in silence. When Jesus said, “If you want to pray, run to the darkest corner of your house, close yourself and talk with your Father,” he meant, go in the inner chamber of your heart and talk with God. Talk with your true Self, and you will receive the answer. So in this inner chamber – what is there? Just love, nothing else.

There is no power of the mind to stop anybody because you are all equal; you are all the same light, the same energy. Like this lovely chandelier here, it has many lights, doesn’t it? But it’s the same electricity that is lighting all of them. Keep reminding yourself of your purpose of this incarnation and reach it; make sure that you reach it in this life. Don’t think of other lives. Now will be the best time. It is possible if you surrender body, mind, and soul completely to God.

If the mind is still troubling you, take any divine aspect, focus your mind on it and surrender to the divine aspect until you reach the formless. From the form to the formless. So, do you want God? Do you want realisation? (Audience: Yes!) Is it a “Yes” from the heart or from the mind? (Laughing… audience: From the heart!)

Don’t tell it to me – tell it to yourself and be sincere to yourself. Say, “Yes, I want it!” When you say it, “Yes, I want realisation, I want God!“ with such a determination, with such strength, such willpower, He will reveal Himself to you. He is accessible twenty-four hours, seven days a week, you know – always. He’s not limited to any time, He’s not limited to any place, He’s not limited to any form. When you close your eyes and drop inside yourself, you access Him. Try it.

Words of Sri Swami Vishwananda......

"The word surrender means the surrendering of one´s mind to the Lotus Feet of the Lord. That is, in fact, what one has to surrender. The Lord has everything else, you know! But your mind, when it is surrendered to the Lotus Feet of the Lord, gains peace; it gains happiness, it gains joy, it gains freedom. As long as one does not surrender the mind, one is a slave of the mind."

Sri Swami Vishwananda tells us today....

"When one comes under the direction of the Teacher, a Master, one surrenders not to his own will, but to the Will of the Master. Whatever one does is to please the Master; one does whatever the Master says. But above all, know that you’re not pleasing only the Master, but you are pleasing God above all, because the Master doesn’t need your pleasing. Even God doesn’t need your pleasing. But you, out of love, out of surrender, out of joy, you’re offering everything."

Words of Sri Swami Vishwananda......

One of the most beautiful aspects of bhakti is Mirabai. She was so much into it, she forgot about herself. She forgot about her body, she forgot about her mind. That state only is eternal bliss. This is the Soul itself. The true Self of man is Satchitananda. Sat: Being. Through Sat - existence - only as a mere human, without realising the Chit and Ananda, you can´t come to the point of complete Realisation - only with this one aspect. You can´t come to the point of realisation with two aspects. Sat and Chit: Consciousness, and then this Ananda, which is Bliss. We call that Satchitananda. So human being is Satchitananda also. The body, the mind and the soul, which is everlasting. God has made the human being such a precious vehicle. It is very important that you look after it. It is very important to be, to enjoy it and to be happy with it, to respect it, to realise that it is the temple of God. It is in this temple that God is dwelling. It is in this temple that God can make humanity advance and realise itself. Without this temple – it’s very difficult.

Sri Swami Vishwananda talks about........

"I have come to help you, to give something, which is very simple, for attaining this state of Bliss. It’s through meditation, actually. We breathe every day so many times. How many times do we realize how important is this breath? Not many times, because it´s so normal, isn´t it? It´s a routine; it happens automatically. So if you really want to realize God, try to meditate."

Words of Sri Swami Vishwananda......

It’s really beautiful to see that youngsters are moving towards spirituality and I think this is great in the world today. It’s really a grace to be spiritual, and to receive it at such a young age. People don’t realise it. I encourage you to carry on in that way and grow more and more, and strengthen faith in yourself. And grow in it, also for all of you here, not only for the youngsters. You know there is a saying, ‘Spirituality starts when religion ends’.
Real spirituality is in each one of you, in each one of your hearts, whether you believe or not, it’s there. God is sitting permanently within you. But to achieve it, this is each one’s way, each one’s personal way. To discover the God without form, God without name, the eternal – to realise that you, all of you, are part of Him. This is the aim of man.
Open up your heart! Love, love unconditionally! Love without limit! Love without expecting anything! Realise this love is ever flowing, the more you give, the more you receive. Just give for the sake of giving. That is what you are here for. Not to receive anything, not to take anything from anybody. Because, what is the difference between you and me? Nothing. But one difference: I realise it, and you don’t realise it. But you can also reach the same level. You need to be continuously in love.

Sri Swami Vishwananda tells us today.....

Faith. Like I always say, have faith in your own Self. Have faith that what you are hearing within your heart is true. So many times you hear your heart, but you doubt it. You ask yourself, “Oh, is this really true or not?” You always have doubt like that. As long as you don’t believe in what the Divine wants to show you, you will not advance.
The moment you really have faith in what you feel inside your heart, it will manifest on the outside. Like I said, God gave man the power to create, to have the power over everything, to have the willpower of construction – constructive willpower – inside the mind.
Very often we say the mind is something apart, something which is very negative. It’s true, very often the mind is negative, but we can transform it. Deep inside in the inner cosmic mind, there lies also the Divine. That is the point where we have to use the mind to achieve the higher state.
Let the light flow through you and become the Self and realise it; and know that you are the Self, and that the Self is acting for you. And when the Self is acting for you, for sure everything will be perfect. There is no doubt – with the power of trust you have in the mind.
When you have this power of trust, this willpower, then you can create in the mind what you really want! Imagine it. Make it a thought, and project this thought on whatever you want, and say by the power of word, “I want that!” See what happens! See what Jesus did, when some people came and said, “This person is ill. Can you please heal him?” What did he answer? He didn’t say much. He just said, “Be healed!” The person did heal – because in his consciousness, Jesus was always with the Divine, always with the Father. He didn’t have any doubt in his own word, he didn’t doubt himself. He didn’t say, “OK, let me heal.” With strong conviction, he said, “Be healed!” But it’s also true that the person has to have faith in Jesus.
If you remove the gross body outside, the body made of this fibre… you are just the pure light of God. And in this light the whole wisdom and knowledge is present. But sometimes you do need somebody to tell you, to remind you always of that.
Don’t worry. I will always remind you that you are Divine! Even if my mouth gets tired, my heart will still say it, until you reach this level. So did Jesus Christ. Many of you think, “Jesus is so great. Why did he die? Why did his body die? Why did he go through the crucifixion?”

Sri Swami Vishwananda talks about........

God loves you and He wants you back with Him. He wants you to realise that you are with Him all the time and that He is with you all the time So then, it’s for you to reveal the Spirit. Then the Light, which is deep inside of you, will shine! Love will shine. If you ask God, “God, make your Light shine through me”, can He refuse that? He can´t refuse you anything. Whenever you pray to Him, He can´t refuse you anything. He is here to give - only you should know how to receive it. When you receive something, very often, you keep your hands like this, open. Very often, mankind keeps the hands like this and the Grace comes, drops through, and goes.Whenever you experience the deepness of Love inside your heart;whenever you sit down for prayer, bhajan, or meditation; whenever you feel the sense that you don´t feel pain, you don´t feel happiness, you don´t feel hot, you don´t feel cold; you only feel a joy, which you can´t even express, treasure it. There is a word that we can put to this; ‘bliss’, but still this word is limited. The only thing I can tell you, you can just feel it. You can´t express it with words. And this is what you have to be at all times. When you become equal toward the outside, by knowing that everything and everybody is One, you will love everybody.

To be in Truth.......

"If you are in truth, you don’t need to bother about hurting anybody, because you will not hurt anybody. Also somebody who is in such truth will never discuss about himself."......Sri Swami Vishwananda

Friday, February 18, 2011

Words of Sri Swami Vishwananda......

There are so many things we can talk about. The main subject that I love talking about is the ‘Divinity in man’; the Divinity in each one of you, because I will love that all of you come to the same point of realisation, without any doubt, that God is inside of you. You know it in the mind and in the heart, and you realise it with the soul.

God created man out of Himself. We are all part of this Divine ocean, the Divine consciousness. Man was created from this Divine consciousness and he has been given the full power over everything, the same power that God has: the power to create, to protect and to destroy.

In our mind we think, “Oh, destruction…” But destruction means the rebirth of something new, not the destruction through war, rather the destruction of recreation. The super-consciousness high above each one of us is there for us to use it, to develop this inner strength and to work for the real purpose we have been sent here for.

Words of Sri Swami Vishwananda......

"In front of God everybody is equal, whether it is a Saint or not a Saint, whether it’s a rich person or a poor person, whether it’s a white person or a black person.God is Love and He just knows how to love.In your true aspect, deep inside Your heart,You are love."

Sri Swami Vishwananda tells us today.....

On the way to God-realization...
You will not reach God-realization with pride.
You will not reach it with arrogance.
You will reach God-realization only when you are humble.
And people will be against you.

Words of Sri Swami Vishwananda: "God has everything"

HAPPY VALENTINE`S DAY

We are all here because of our spiritual path, because of our spiritual way-this way to the heart, this way to realisation, God-Realisation. Most of you probably know that the main aim, on the outside, is to know thyself, to realise the completeness of who you are in Reality. In this search, you make many travels to India, travels to America, travels everywhere, but all this searching on the outside has a limit. We are on the search and the search brings us to fun places. We meet different people, but still we are incomplete. We say, “God I have left heaven to realise it here. Whatever I’m doing, I’m doing it for Thee. Wherever I go, I’m just looking for Thee.”All your searching towards the outside is of no use, because at the end you realise that He’s always with you, deep in your heart. God is always with you. It’s like with the ocean where you have lots of precious gems. To get them, you have to dive into the ocean and go deep inside. So, God lies deep in the heart of man. With your mind you have to dive, dive deep within your heart, because everywhere are the waves of illusion. To achieve this Divine state you have to really love God. You have to start, firstly, to love yourself. You love everybody. Every day you say to somebody “I love you,” but how many times do you say to yourself “I love you?” It’s easy to love others, but some say that it is difficult to love one’s self. But I will say, “No, it’s not difficult.” See, when you love others, you see the goodness in others, but when the point comes to love yourself, you see all your negativity. Stop looking at the negative. It’s only through being positive that it can stop. It’s only when you start looking at this positivity and start thinking about yourself positively that you will dive deep inside this ocean. Then your heart will open up. Know one thing, when you become a lover, the Beloved is always with you - all the time. But you have to become the lover. You have to be madly in love with God the same way you are madly in love with your partner, for some time - for some time, because it usually doesn’t last long. You have to consider how Love is. Even in a normal relationship, you forget about everything when you are in love. All goes well. Then, after some time, it becomes such a routine. Then you get fed up. But the real Love, which you have inside your heart, you will never get fed up with, because that’s what you are made of; that is what your body, each cell of your body is made of. You just need to realise it and say to yourself, “I am part of God and I’m made in the image of God and I’m with Him, He’s with me.” When you realise this Oneness, you become this Oneness.I’m telling you, it’s not difficult. If you practice your meditation, sincerely, every day, you will achieve it. If you love sincerely, you will achieve it. If you serve sincerely, you will achieve it. But it’s upon to you to do it. The sincerity with yourself will be the sincerity that you will give to the outside. You have to become an instrument of God and you have to become an instrument of this Love.

Sri Swami Vishwananda tells us today....

"When a leaf falls on a river – do you think the leaf knows where the flow of the river is carrying it?No.Just let go!The wind is blowing the leaf. In the same way,we have to be in the hand of God."

Words of Sri Swami Vishwananda......

"It happens so often in the life of people, that when the grace of God comes upon them, they don’t understand anything. They try to understand, but yet they can’t understand.I have met So many people who have told me“Oh You know I love God,but I don’t understand Him,I don’t know why I love Him so much.”So you have to become that state, where even if you want understand Him,you can’t understand. You see Him in front of you and want to grasp Him,but you can’t.Imagine what would happen? It would drive you crazy, crazy for Him.That's the best, because deep longing makes it even sweeter."

Sri Swami Vishwananda tells us today....

"We all talk about God, but we don’t know God, we don’t have an image of Him. Of course, there are different aspects of the Divinity. But one thing that we can do is to feel God and that’s how we can know that He is with us all the time, we can feel Him continuously and enjoy Him at every moment."

Sri Swami Vishwananda talks about........

The human mind likes to judge a lot of things. We say that God is punishing people. God is doing this and God is doing that. However, it is not like that. It’s our own self. It’s we who see and say these things. But the Divine doesn’t see it like we do. When you rise to such a level of consciousness you don’t see any good or bad. Everything becomes neutral for you because the Divine resides everywhere.

So try to practice it every day. Imagine yourself as God! Watch whether you really see the negativity or if you see everything as God, as your own Self. If you practice this every day, I tell you the time will come where there will be no difference. You will feel the peace of God everywhere. Wherever you go, with whoever you are talking to, there will be this peace, this love. That is what you all are looking for.

Tuesday, February 8, 2011

Words of Sri Swami Vishwananda

You are the temple of God. God dwells inside of you. You will realise this Love for yourself. You will know that He is here, sitting here all the time.

Sri Swami Vishwananda talks about the " Voice of God"

When you listen to your intuition from the beginning, if, when your heart tells you to not do something, you don’t do it and you listen to this intuition - that is what we call the Voice of God. This will give you freedom. So, learning to listen to one´s intuition is very important. It´s very easy too, because whenever you hear your intuition, there is no doubt in it. And the voice of intuition is strong and direct. Very often the mind will rebel against it, but if you take the decision and listen to this intuitive voice inside of you, you will be away from the mind and the mind will surrender itself. Because, the more you listen to the mind, the more your mind will drag you! But the less you listen to your mind, the further you will be away from it! And the easier it will be to realise your Self. So, surrender is about surrendering the mind to the Lotus Feet, surrendering the mind to the Divine Names, which have the power to calm the mind, which have the power to bring the mind to the right path. That´s why, in all religions, it is said to chant the name of God. Like I have said before, chanting the Name of God is like being in love with the Divine. The more you chant the Divine Names, the more the Love of God will reveal itself inside of you - not in the outside - but first inside of you.And the more you chant, the more you will start to resonate the Divine Names; the more you will start to have the qualities of the Divine. It is so simple!

Sunday, February 6, 2011

Sri Swami Vishwananda tells us today......

Make the ultimate goal of your life Divine love, and surrender to it. You know what God wants from you? Surrender your mind to Him, continuously. Surrender your mind to the lotus feet of God, to the feet of your Guru, to the feet of any Divine master. And free yourself. Free yourself from the mind, free yourself from all the misery that you created. So when you free your mind, you realise the Divine everywhere in every aspect, every small thing. Even the clothes you are wearing are divine. Each atom is divine.

If you have divine eyes to look at the world with, you will see that it is just the radiated light of God shining through everything. But as long as you don’t come to that realisation, keep trying. Never lose hope. The moment you lose hope, you lose everything. The moment you say, “No, I can’t do it, I can’t do this”, you will not be able to do it. Challenge your fear! Keep reminding yourself that you are part of God. You are in His Divine hands and He will never let go of you. Never! He will be always near to you, even nearer than the breath, the air you are breathing in.

LOVE

Just love! Love is the greatest worship. *Sri Krishna*

Sri Swami Vishwananda tells us something about Krishna:
Radhe Radhe! Now you always say “Radhe Radhe”. You know in
Vrindavan, actually, they don’t say “Hare Krishna”, they don’t even
mention the name of Krishna to greet somebody. They always
use the name of Radha. Do you know why? It’s because Krishna
left Vrindavan and they are still angry with Him. Well, there is
something to be angry about, because the Gopis had such Love for
Krishna, which is not comparable to any other kind of love. That’s
why, when he left, they were angry; also, the descendants are still
angry with him. It’s amazing the love relationship that the people
still today there have for Krishna.
It’s really one to one. It’s like He is the dearest one. They will tell
Him anything. They will scold Him even. Once something goes
wrong, they will scold Him. They know that He is God, but yet the
Love that they feel inside their hearts is even stronger. When do
you really feel you can, you are free to tell somebody something?
When you are close with that person, isn’t it? Or when you are
not? When you are not, you don’t bother about it. But, when you
are close with someone, you will feel free to express whatever, even
if it is anger, but this closeness, this relationship, this Love, that’s
what is the most important thing.
It’s how our relationship to the Divine is. This kind of Love our soul
has for the Paramatma and if we awaken this relationship, it will
come. It is said that the Gopi, the Queen Gopi, which is Radharani,
she will do anything for Krishna. Name it, She will do it. Even
giving Her life, She will do it. It so happened that, once the Gopis
were all singing to Krishna, “Krishna, we love you so much” and
everybody was saying “Oh, Krishna, we will do that for you.” You
know that very well. You know, when you are in love, you have big,
big promises, but sometimes, when it comes to practice - nil, zero.
Well, the Gopis were also saying, “Krishna, we love you so much,”
but yet Krishna wanted to test them. He is the Lord, who is seated
in each one’s heart; of course He knows, He knows better than
somebody’s mind can perceive.
So, one day He pretended to have a terrible headache and He was
screaming “Ah, I have terrible pain.” Everybody was shocked,
you know, and said “Oh, my Lord, what can we do for you?” All
those who had said they would do anything, said “Lord, we will
do anything for you; tell us.” Even Narad Muni came, who sings
always, “Narayan, Narayan” saying “I will do anything, my Lord,
to cure your headache”. Krishna looked at them all and said “OK,
fine. To cure my headache I need the dust off your feet; I need that
you press my head with your feet.” They all got shocked. He, the
Lord of Universe, is asking that His head be pressed by their feet.
None of them considered themselves worthy for that. They were
very scared, you know, that to press God’s head with their feet is
so disrespectful, first, and secondly, for sure they would go to hell
for doing it.
So everybody was a bit aghast. Everybody was discussing, talking
with each other how would they do that. At that moment Radha
came and she saw Krishna in such a state, you know. So, she went
to Krishna and said to Him “My Lord, tell me”, and Krishna said
the same thing that He had said to the Gopis. Then, when she heard
what she had to do, without thinking, without considering about
herself, she said “Yes.” There was Krishna lying in pain. She started
pressing the head of Krishna with her foot and everybody was
shocked. At that moment Krishna’s headache was gone. Everybody
was shocked, you know. They came to Radha and were very angry
with Radha and started cursing Radha, saying “Oh, you are so bad,
you are mean. How come you have put your feet on the head of our
Lord? Then for sure you will go to hell.” Radharani said to them
“Well, even the deepest hell will be a blessing for me, for it has
cured my Lord’s pain.”
So you see, in the relationship to the Divine you forget about
yourself completely. You forget about your own Realisation, you
forget about what will make you happy. Like it is said in the Bible:
The greatest happiness is when you can give your life for your friend,
isn’t it? True relationship is when one can give oneself completely
and when you are in love you always forget about yourself. Look,
everybody has been in love. Do you think of yourself, when you are
in love or do you think of the other person? So, the soul can always
be in love with the Divine, no?
So, you can always think of God. If we love God that way, then
we will be detached, also, from whatever is attaching us to this
world. We will be detached from whatever is stopping us from our
advancement. We want Self-Realisation, we want God-Realisation,
yet we don’t want to let go of everything. That doesn’t mean that
you should renounce everything and become sannyas, no, but be in
the world and know that everything comes from Him. Everything
is Him. It’s only Him who gives and everything will go back to Him.
As long as we stay in the circle of birth and death we will enjoy this
play, meaning not only the enjoyment of being happy, but meaning
enjoyment that is also painful, which you always complain about.
So, if one wants to always stay in the circle, one will always be in
the circle. But if one wants really to go out of the circle, one will
develop this unconditional Love for the Divine, unconditional Love
for everybody, unconditional Love for all His creation, because the
unconditional Love of God knows no limit, knows no “I love this
one; I hate this one,” and there is no judgment.
So, when we turn to the Divine with our good and with our not
good qualities, He will accept us, because He loves us. And, He is
calling all of us to love the same way He loves, but yet our mind is
a big barrier. All Holy Scriptures, all the Scriptures talk about the
Love of God. We have many who discuss about how it has to be,
but yet, in the simplest form, when you go inside your heart, you
know what is Love. It’s not about me to say as words what is Love,
because Love can’t be expressed as words. You can only feel Love.
Yet, you see in the world how many wars have been happening for
people expressing their views of how God loves people. One says,
“My God loves better.” The other one says, “No, no, no, no, you are
wrong. Mine is the best. Yet all are talking about only One God,
you know? So try to find this Love.
Your mind will ask for many things and when it gets whatever it
asks, it will ask for something else. But, if you go deep inside of you
and take time for yourself everyday, when you introvert and find
the Divine, find this Love, you will see that it was never far away
from you. It’s just here all the time. It’s just we don’t want it to flow.
We don’t want to let it go and as long as our mind comes in the way,
chant, “Haribol, Hari Nam, Kevalam.”
The only name is Sri Hari. The two syllables of Hari can even give
liberation, can even get rid of all the karmic things in one’s life.
It’s simple: Hari. We like to have big, big sadhana, but yet we don’t
understand anything. We like to chant big, big mantras, but yet we
don’t understand anything. What will please Him is to chant simple
things, but with Love.
Sabse Oonchi Prema Sagai. We say, “Love is the greatest worship,”
and the only thing that He accepts is this Love and out of Love
He does everything. Whatever one asks for, whether it is material,
whether it is spiritual, whether it will bring joy or pain to that
person, out of Love He will give it.
So, awaken this Love. In the heart of man let this Love awaken and
see that each one becomes a messenger of peace and Love. Each
one will spread this Love, without words, because you don’t need to
say, “I love you”, you just need to radiate it. You just need to know
yourself, that you carry the Love of God; as for the rest, not you,
but He will look after. It’s simple.

The Love that the devotee has for the Satguru, the Love that the devotee has for the Divine.

This Love is one single-minded Love. This Love is a Love where the devotee doesn’t expect anything, apart from the Lord Himself. And, in this Love, nothing can move the bhakta, no matter what comes! When Meerabai was singing for Krishna, people would say “She’s crazy”, but this didn’t change her faith, this didn’t change her Love. She was so concentrated. Her mind was so focused and one-pointed toward the Lord, that nothing could move her. It is said that devotion has another name: one single-pointed mind. When your mind is completely focused on God, you will have Him.Well, you see, when one is concentrated, when one is focused on God, when one is in deep meditation, one is not affected by anything around, by any noise, by any touching. Even if a snake is crawling on you, it will not affect you, because you are calm and your mind is on God. Focus on the Love of God that you have inside of you. Focus on the Divine, which is present inside of you and focus in a way that nothing on the outside can move you. No matter what comes, nothing can move you! Christ said it: Make your faith, build your faith on the stone. Be so strong that no wind can move you, that no wind can destroy this.Become a pillar of this faith. This kind of concentration you should have: when you’re focused, when you sit down for meditation, you don’t hear anything, you don’t think about anything, only the Lord, only Him, nothing else. So, when you sing the Name of God, close your eyes and let yourself be drawn into it. When you sing the name of Krishna, just see Krishna in front of you. When you sing the name of Devi, see Shakti in front of you. When you sing the name of Jesus, see Him in front of you. By focusing your mind on the Divine, when placing the holy image in your mind, you conquer the mind. You conquer the agitation of the mind and, when it’s focused, the Satguru inside your heart will guide you. So, when you sing, close your eyes and visualise. What I will sing next is the greatness of Love, the greatest prayer that exists. So, when I sing Sabse Oonchi, then you say Prema Sagai, meaning: “Love is the greatest prayer. This bhajan was written by Surdas, one of the devotees of Krishna, one of the greatest devotees of Krishna. He was blind and, when the Lord appeared in front of him, the Lord said to him, “Surdas, what do you want?”Surdas, looking at Krishna, said, “My Lord, my eyes have seen You now. Make me blind, again. I don’t need to see the world, because I have seen You, I have seen everything.” Such was his Love and that was what he wrote about, what he expressed in his singing, the greatness of the Love of the devotee to the Lord, to the Satguru.

Listen to the Bhajan....

What is this pure devotion?

We all have devotion: we pray, we do our work every day and this is,also, called devotion, but pure devotion is complete surrender. This pure devotion, which Radha had for Krishna, even though She was separated from Krishna, even though She was separated from the Oneness – it was just to teach us what it is to surrender. Actually,Radha represents all of us: the creation, the manifestation. She symbolizes the Love, the example. She symbolizes the Bhav, the complete surrender to the Will of God. It’s not about her own will, but the Will of God, the Will of Krishna. That’s why it is said that She is the only true Devotee and we all have to become like Her.The manifestation of the Lord Himself into Radharani is to show us how to love unconditionally, how to have such faith that even a storm will not uproot you.Nowadays we talk about faith. But the moment something happens and doesn’t turn out the way people want, what happens? They are uprooted already. Faith is like this: you have to become like a huge tree. When a storm comes, the branches will blow, but the roots are so anchored into the earth, the tree does not come out. That’show faith has to be. That is what Radharani teaches to us. In Her Life there were not only joyful times, but She transcended the joy and the pain.We all want bliss, don’t we? We all want to attain the Divine, but yet we hang onto things. We want to love and we want to do God’s will, but in our mind we always say “Yes, I want to do God’s will, but I want to always be happy”, because in our minds, we think that happiness is bliss. But the transcendental happiness that is real bliss is beyond the happiness like when you say with a big smile “I am happy”, because when one is in bliss, one doesn’t know happiness or sadness. It is difficult to understand it with the mind, because your brain can only understand whether you are happy or sad, or you are happy-sad, but transcending these two is Ananda. And that’s what our soul is longing for. There is one bhajan that I always sing, that says “For love, one can do anything.” Isn’t it like this? But Love is sacrifice, you know, isn’t it? Are you ready to sacrifice completely for that? How many of you are ready to sacrifice everything, completely? So, that’s what faith is:complete surrender. If you are completely surrendered to the Will of God and you remember the Divine–wherever you are, whatever you do, even in the smallest things–then you will transcend.

Sri Swami Vishwananda talks about........

Isn’t it beautiful to sing the name of Narayana?Let yourself be drawn into it. Such is the greatness of the name of God, who-

ever is singing with an open heart, whoever is singing the name of God with faith, will be pulled more inside of it. See, the more you go into it, the more you lose yourself in this Divine name, the identity of being human disappears. Then what stays is only the Divine, and that is what you really are. If we remove the body, who are you? The soul, isn’t it?

We are the soul with a stain on it. The stain is in the mind. However, by singing the name of God – any aspect, Krishna, Jesus, Allah – one begins to remove this stains. But it has to be sung with devotion and love. It is nice when you join together and sing the name of God. It creates a vibration, an urge to merge with God.

That’s why it is very important, wherever you are, find a few people and sing. If you don’t know how to sing, just recite His names. While you are reciting, picture the form in your mind. Keep concentrating on the form and let yourself go. Let yourself merge into the Divine energy. And enjoy it! Remove all the darkness and barriers from the mind – just jump in. This is bhakti!

Divine love? We can’t. I can keep on talking about love, because I know what love is; I have experienced it. All of you know a

little about love, but to truly understand it, one must experience it. And to experience it, one must let go of egoism. Egoism is the ‘I’ that keeps you away from realising yourself. Remove the ‘I’. Let you and God merge together, and become one. Like sugar, it gets mixed with water and becomes one. In the same way, let yourself merge together and disappear in the love of God. There will be no egoism that separates man from being Divine; because only Divinity exists. Only the universal consciousness exists. But, when we experience separation, we see the duality of things. We experience love, hate, jealousy, and all these things.

By being the consciousness, being completely Divine, all these things disappear – you become as you were before. And that is for everybody, it is not only for me. It’s not only for a few people who are around me; it’s for all of you. It’s accessible to everybody. If people really take time, just drop inside – everything is there.

Sri Swami Vishwananda tells us today...

Love is the most important thing and we each have to become an emissary of that Divine Love. And to become an emissary of that Love, we have to realise firstly how important it is, because it’s only through Love that the world will change. It’s only through Love that peace and
harmony will be restored. Love has many aspects and one of the aspects is harmony and another aspect is unity. That’s why on the bottom of the Bhakti Marga logo, you will see that there is Love, Patience and Unity. Firstly, these three basic things are not on the outside, but are within us. If we want to give Love, we have to
become Love. Like Sri Krishna said in the Gita:" A true yogi must first realise Me within himself, then, he realises Me as an extension of the Self everywhere." And also Christ said: "Love your enemies, love everybody as you love yourself."To see the similarity of the teachings about Love and its importance to each one’s life is very important. You know how important it is.Without love, nothing works. You go to work and you need to love
your job. You love your children, your husband or your wife. You always love. In everything that you do, there is Love, you know.Even if it is not shown on a big scale, even on this small scale, Love is present everywhere, but we can increase this Love, we can make it even stronger. Like I said yesterday in the story of Krishna’s flute,we just give ourselves. Be like that. Be in the hands of God. May you be ready always to be His messenger, His tool, to spread His Love.As Christ said to His disciples: "What I am doing, you all can do
much more, you just have to believe it, and if you believe without doubt, it will happen." You need faith like a child!!
