What I want to share from my experiences is that love conquers everything. It is my hope that it will inspire the readers to open their hearts to the Divine. If we can try to understand that we all are equally part of the Divine and are here to achieve this greater Truth and to realise our Self - if we make this our goal and do everything with Love…then everything will be lovely and you will always be happy.

It is time that you awake.......

Cross over this limitation, face it, don’t have fear. Start firstly with little things. You know yourself. You know that God will always provide for you. If an animal knows that - we are bound by more qualities than an animal. So we can realize who we are. We are all one family, that what we call humanity. Everybody talks about humanity but very few really behave human (laughter). So, if we call ourselves we are part of this society, we are part of humanity, we have not to behave like an animal. Even animals behave better in society. Because they know who they are and they know where they are leading to. They trust in the higher consciousness that God will always provide.

But poor us human beings- us who have more than just an animal, we like to degrade ourselves. We like to make ourselves worse. It is time to cross over this limitation. It is time that you really let, what you have inside of you, awake!!!!

And here another sweet New Year's message from our beloved Guruji Sri Swami Vishwananda:
"Wishing you all a Happy New Year - may the blessing of the Divine be with you all in this new coming year. May the resolution to change and opening the heart be your goal - much Love and Blessings."

Sri Swami Vishwananda tells us today.....

“It’s not what we see outside. It’s not what we judge in the outside with our minds, but, for once, truly listen to your heart, really listen to the call of your heart. The call of your heart will reflect the call of your soul, and only when you listen carefully to that not listening to the mind, not saying “yes” to the mind, when it says “I want Realisation”, without knowing what it is. The mind doesn’t comprehend certain things. The mind doesn’t even comprehend what Love is, so how do you think the mind will comprehend what is greater even than Love itself?...”

Celebrating God

The singing of Bhajans and the chanting of Mantras and Stotras is one of the oldest forms of worshipping God. For many people it is one of the easiest and most pleasurable ways to get close to Him, awakening joy and love in one’s heart. It is not exclusive to any spiritual path and practically all paths include singing as a central element.

In the ancient Hindu scriptures, the singing of the Lord’s many names, Kirtana Bhakti (devotion through the singing of God’s names), is described as one of the nine ways to express or experience love for the Divine. Through the singing of the Lord´s names, one can experience complete stillness of the mind or, at least, the interruption of one´s day-to-day thoughts and worries.

Let us celebrate......

Only for God......

Sri Swami Vishwananda tells us something about humbleness and acceptance. How important it is, to do everything in every moment only for God.Not for anybody, not for yourself- just for God.. We should be always aware, that he is there in every single moment, in every situation. This is a very easy way, to let God come into your life, to let him be part of it.

Enjoy this beautiful Song!

The deeper meaning of Christmas

Sri Swami Vishwananda tells us......

So…For me, with the years you understand the deeper meaning of Christmas, you know? It’s not just a festival that you go to Churches just to… they all like to go to the Churches for midnight mass or I have been to Bhajans singing. It’s not about that, you know? It’s true that Christ has been born probably some 2000 years plus. It’s about celebrating. Because He brought something new to the world, which is forgiveness, Love. Many Avatars have come.

They all have brought Love, but the Love was not really forgiving. Many Saints have come, prophets have come, but the Love was just “Yes, I love you”, but there was always a condition to the Love. And also if you did something wrong to them, you would get back what is wrong. But what He brought is this forgiveness.

That’s why in the prayer they keep reminding of the forgiveness of forgiving what you have done wrong, forgiveness of yourself actually.

First forgive yourself. It’s not about God forgiving you, but it´s about forgiving yourself first . And focus on the Love that you carry inside of you.

And Christ is born- Yes.

It’s nice outside to celebrate Him, but He is born inside each one of us.

And this rebirth is not only because of Christmas time.

He is born continuously in each cell of your body.

To all of you " Merry Christmas"!!

One can't attain the love of God by studying, by austerities, by penance. The only thing that you want really to attain him is to awake this pure love from your heart.

And when this pure love from your heart awake, you surrender yourself completely. And in this pure love you will find everything. And that's where surrender starts.

And when this pure love gets awakened, when surrender has started it develops, it grows...It grows into 6 steps of love. And this sixth step of love it's when the lord becomes very close to you. It's when God becomes very close to you. As you surrender to him he surrenders to you also . And that's real spirituality.

So easy to spread love says Swami Vishwananda

Swamiji  Vishwananda encourages us again and again to love and to spread love. And he always says that it is so easy. But what do we do? We think about, how we can spread love, instead of just radiating love.

A few days ago I had a nice experience with one of my sisters here at Shree Peetha Nilaya regarding spreading love. It started with me getting annoyed with her and I expressed my anger. When I saw her the next time in the temple for prayers I could suddenly feel love for her. I was surprised about this lovely love-feeling, because in my mind I was still clinging to my anger, also my anger with myself. But this is what we humans love to do, we attach ourselves to the negative. It came quickly to my mind that she must be sending love to me. To send love to somebody with whom you have a conflict works miracles each time. Try it! Later I could ask her, whether my impression was right that she was sending love to me and she confirmed. You can send love in many ways, for example to send light, in all colours, silver, gold, you can imagine how the other is being showered with love-light. It is so simple. And the good thing is that you also benefit. That´s how love multiplies by giving. It is so simple, we just have to want it. We just have to give ourselves this little kick to get over ourselves and to send love instead of stupid thoughts.

Swami Vishwananda tells you today:

You are all here for one truth. And this truth is love. This love which is equal to all mankind. This love which is present deep in each one of your heart. Which is waiting and want to come out and express itself. But so often there is blockage. So often there is a knot that stops … a wall that stops man loving unconditionally. When you realize the only path is to love and to be in love continuously, you realize how much love God will, how much God love his creation. Same way God love, same way you can love also. All other kind of love is all secondary. All other kind of love is all secondary because mankind is here to become love.

Swami Vishwananda tells a story about Jesus

Jesus was sitting in the Heaven and thinking, “Maybe the world has changed. Let Me go on Earth and see. Two thousand years ago, I was there, but because I said, ´I am the Son of God´, they put Me on the cross and crucified me. But there were no churches at that time. So, let Me go and see, maybe they will recognize Me, and welcome Me. They will know, that I am here for there own good.”
So, Jesus came in Bethlehem, where He was born. There He saw a church, and He was walking towards the church, when, at the same time, the Mass was finished. People started to come out from the church, and they saw a man coming, who were dressed like Jesus. So they all started to make fun of Him, “Oh, look at this mad man who is dressed like Jesus. What do you think he is?” Jesus was shocked, and said, “Oh my Goodness, I thought that after thousands of years, that they have been praying and calling to Me, they would recognize Me. But here I am, and they don´t even recognize Me.”
Jesus went to them and said, “Don’t you recognize Me?” The people said, “Oh, you are just a mad man, who is dressed like Jesus.” Jesus answered, “Oh, no, no, no; I am Jesus, you were just praying to Me in the church!” But they said, “Nooo, he is mad.” Jesus thought,” My Goodness, how come they don’t even know Me now?” The people finaly told Him, “You better go away, before the clergymen come.” But at the same time, the clergy was coming, and Jesus went to him and said, “Hey, I am Jesus!” The clergyman said, “You mad man, keep quiet!” Then he took Jesus by force, brought Him inside and locked him in the sacristy.
So poor Jesus was locked in the sacristy, and He could not understand what was happening. He thought that after two thousands years, with many churches around and people who are praying, Christianity is well flourished and they will know. But no, poor Him, He was locked inside. So He sat there and waited. At night, He saw a light coming. The clergyman was coming with a lantern and opened the door. And when he opened the door, he fell at the feet of Christ and said to Him, “Please, Master, forgive me.” Jesus asked “why?”And he said, “You know, I did recognize You, when I saw You for the first time in the morning, but You see, the people are not ready to accept You. I locked You in here, because You will start talking the truth and it would be inconvenient for You to speak the truth. People will never believe You, because they believe in the clergymen now.” said Swami Vishwananda

Satsang of Swami Vishwananda in Moscow in October 2010

At the question: "Why is it so difficult to love?" Swami Vishwananda answered: " Because of the judgment one puts on the persons. So, try not to criticise anybody; try to love not for the etiquett: because he/she is like this or like that but FOR THE SAKE OF LOVING. More you will try and more you will really love unconditionally.

Swami Vishwananda tells you today:

In India, there is a place called Puri, and there is a temple for Lord Krishna in the form of Jagarnath. He is an aspect of Krishna; a funny one. Every year, there is a big festival where they bring the deities out and carry them in the streets. Millions of people gather there, and all the people, even the king, will go and help cleaning the streets where they will bring the chariot of the Lord.
It happened that one day a very rich merchant came to Jagarnath, and seeing the Lord together with his brother Balaram and sister Subhadra, he said to himself, “This is just a mere wooden statue with big eyes, big smile. It´s just a black statue.” Then he said very proudly, “I will show how wealthy I am, and I will give one hundred thousand rupees.” So he went to the priest ans said, “Priest, I will donate one hundred thousand rupees to the temple to feed the Lord! But I have one condition: you have to use all this money for the food.”
The priest thought,”How will I use one hundred thousand rupees only for the food? Even if I would use the best ghee and all the best ingredients to make the prasad for the Lord, still the money would not be finished.” So all the priests gathered together and started discussing, “How could we finish one hundred thousand rupees for the prasad of the Lord?” Finally the highest priest came to a conclusion, he said, “OK, it seems that we can’t take any decision, but let Lord Jagarnath Himself, Let Krishna Himself take the decision.” They went to the merchant and said, “Listen, we haven´t come to a conclusion, but we will let the Lord Himself decide which kind of prasad He would like to have. Meanwhile, please stay with us until the Lord Himself will tell us what kind of prasad He wants....
to be continued tomorrow... :)

Swami Vishwananda tells you today:

God has given you an intuition to follow. So you have to learn to listen to the intuition in a calm way. You'll be able to hear your intuition only when you're calm. And you will be able to accept what your intuition is telling you. Often I've seen people listening to the mind, and said, Swamiji, I have been listening to my intuition, but actually it's not like that. This is the difference between the intuition and the mind, it is two different kind of voices you will hear. The mind voice is always flattering you, will always say you are the best, whatever you are doing is good, you should do other more things like this. Whereas the intuition, the intuitive voice inside of you is sharp and direct, and it's not flattering.

Swami Vishwananda tells you today:

There was once a king who did lots of sin in his life. He knew that he would die soon. So he went to see a guru in one ashram. But when he went there, the guru was in deep meditation. So he waited, and waited, and waited, but the guru didn´t come out of his samadhi. The king saw that the son of the guru was there, so he called him, ”Please, your father is in deep samadhi, and I can´t wake him up, I can´t tell him to come out, so you tell me... Look, I have spent my whole life in hurting people and doing bad things, but now I realize that I have to change certain things in my life. Tell me how would I forgive myself for all this?” The son thought for a while, and said, “Chant three times the name of Rama, and all your sins will be forgiven but of course you have to chant it with faith, you can’t just chant it with the mere mouth.” The king was very happy. When the guru came back to himself, the son was very excited and said, “Father, father, you know, the king came here!” And he explained everything about why the king had been there. Then the father asked him, “What did you tell him?” The son said, “I told him to chant three times the name of Rama, with faith, and that all his sins would be forgiven.” The father got very angry at that moment, and said: “My son, I curse you, because you don´t even know how powerful the name of Rama is. You didn´t need to tell him to chant it three times; even one time would have been enough!”

Swami Vishwananda tells you today:

Radha stands for a single pointed devotion to Krishna, without limitation. This is the ultimate aspect of devotion. Pray to her to grace you with this devotion. Then real bhakti will awake inside of you deep within your heart.

Swami Vishwananda tells you today:

Once, a man came to visit a certain holy man, St. Sabbas, in his cave while he was meditating. When the Saint noticed the visitor, he became very joyful. He happily washed the hands and feet of his visitor. When the Saint looked up from washing the feet of the man, he realized that this visitor was Christ Jesus sitting there. The Saint felt such love that he started crying profusely and said, “Oh my Lord, You are here!” At that moment, the visitor disappeared.

A certain lady in Switzerland was walking down the street and a beggar asked her to give him some money, and she willingly gave him some money. The woman’s only reaction when the beggar asked for money was to take some money and give it to him. The moment the money reached the hand of the beggar, he disappeared on the spot. Very often she talked about this story.

So like that I can tell you many stories, many facts that many people have told. Through charity, through service, through love they have experienced so much. And if you really want to experience the same thing, open up your heart and let Jesus work through you; let Krishna work through you; let God work through you. Through that you will realize His Love. You will realize that He is always with you. You will know how much He Loves you and how much you can love.

Swami Vishwananda tells you today:

I will tell you the story of a very rich merchant.

In India there is a place called Puri. There is a temple for Lord Krishna in the form of Jagannath. It is a rather funny aspect of Krishna. Every year there is a big festival where they bring the deities out and bring them on the street. There are millions of people. So even the king of the time will go and clean the street. All the people will go and clean the street very nicely to bring the chariot of the Lord. It so happened that one day a very rich merchant came to Jagannath and seeing the Lord together with his brother Balaram and sister Subdra, he said to himself, “This is just a mere wood statue with big eyes and a big smile. It's just a black statue." So he said very proudly, “I will show myself, my wealth, I will give a hundred thousand rupees.” So he went to the priest and said, “Priest I will donate 100.000 rupees to the temple to feed the Lord. Under one condition, that you spend all your money on the food.

The priest wondered for a while how to spend the 100.000 rupees on food. "Even if I use the best ghee, the best ingredients to make the Prasad for the Lord, i could not finish. So all the priests gathered and started to discuss how they could finish 100.000 rupees for the prasad of the Lord. Then the high priest came to a conclusion, saying, “Okay, we can’t take any decision. Let Lord Jagannath Himself, let Krishna Himself take the decision." Then they went to the merchant and said: " Listen we have not come to a conclusion, but we will let the Lord Himself decide which kind of prasad he would like to have. So meanwhile please stay with us, till the Lord Himself tells us which kind of Prasad He wants." Three days passed After three days the high priest had a dream. In the dream Lord Jagannath appeared to him and said, “Tell this merchant that I am very happy that he is offering me the prasad ”. Of course the Lord knows the pride and the pride which was inside the merchant, the way he was offering the prasad to Him.

So the priest went to the merchant and said, “Merchant, the Lord has come in my dream and talked about the prasad.” The merchant said, “Yes tell me,” and he proudly said “The Lord has demanded little leaves with some paste inside."

Thus the king said, “What He wants? Only these leaves, but this is nothing.” But the priest said, “Wait I am not finished. The Lord has asked that inside these betel leaves should be smeared the finest grinded pearl powder.” And the king said, “Still this is nothing for me.” And the priest said, “Yes, but the Lord said also another thing. This pearl that you will use for grinding should not be just a normal ordinary pearl. It has to be a pearl which comes from the forehead of an elephant, from under the skin of the forehead of the elephant.”

So the proud and arrogant merchant started thinking: Yes, but how many elephants do I have to buy to be able to get just one pearl? And here I am offering a hundred thousands, but it will cost more than that. He realised that he can offer to Lord Jagannath what He had asked. for At that moment he threw his very expensive turban at the Lord, at the feet of Jagannath, kneeled down and said to the Lord, “Please forgive me. Out of pride I tried to bribe you, but I know I can’t give you anything which is in the outside. So now I offer you my heart.” And he changed completely. Few days later the Lord appeared to him in his dream and said, “I’m very pleased with your heart that is the only thing that I want. A heart which is full of love and devotion.” It is very simple and easy to offer your heart to God. So whenever, we think that we have to offer something to the Lord first, inside of you offer your heart to Him. “Lord I offer you my heart, it is not mine anymore, it is Yours. And the way you love makes me love the same way. Makes me realise this Divine Love.” Spirituality is about a relationship to God. And this love relationship with the Divine will make you realize.

Swami Vishwananda tells you today:

Once there was a king, who had many servants. Among the servants, there was one servant who had a custard apple. So, the king was seated on his throne and everybody would bring him big, big gifts. In the corner there was one of his servants with a cloth which was hiding something. Everybody was bringing big, big, gifts, and the servant was saying, “Oh my goodness, look at this. He has lots of gifts. He will not like the
fruit I have brought him.” But then the king looked to the side and saw that the servant is trying to hide something. So he called the servant, “Come here.” The servant went to the king and the king said, “What are you hiding?” He said, “Nothing, my king.” The king answered “Yes, you are hiding something. Give it to me.” So the servant offered the apple to the king. When the king saw the apple and the love how the servant was offering it, the king got very excited. Very quickly he took the apple and started eating it like a child. And as he was eating, he was saying, “Oh, my goodness how great, how juicy it is”. So he said to the servant, “My dear fellow, where did you get this juicy fruit? Tell me.” He was expressing his love so much to the servant. Such is the Divine, also. When we serve God with love like the servant; when we serve the Master as a servant, God also will look at us in such a way. If we are sincere with ourselves, He will look at us and say "How great you have been serving me."
