When you love somebody.....

You think that you are just this body....

"You think that you are just this body - and very often you focus only on the body- so what happens? The more you focus on the body, the more you have pain and the more you are miserable, because the reality gets covered, becomes shadowed. And when this reality gets covered, of course it brings pain. This body will go back to earth and it will go back to the same five elements it used to be. But if this is the reality, if the body is the only reality, then what is God? Where is the Divinity? This great energy that makes the body work, that makes the body act, is the Spirit and it’s who you really are."

Real Love is to be found deep inside of you.....

"If you truly love, you will sacrifice everything. Until you have come to the point of really feeling this kind of Love inside of you – and you have to be ready – all the other kinds of love will have expectations. Very often what we call Love, it is just passion or desire. Today we love that person, tomorrow we love another person, but in one year you don’t even remember who these people were. Real Love is to be found deep inside of you, personally. It’s not in someone else, it’s inside of you. It’s your true nature. This is who you are in Reality. The Divine is not far away. He is inside of you. You just need to calm your mind and introvert yourself. So see how much you are truthful towards yourself and how much you really, sincerely want the Divine. True love is everlasting giving, not expectation."

Why don´t we trust in His will?

"We pray, we ask, and the Divine is not deaf. The Divine always hears the prayer of everybody. If He can hear even the small anklets on the feet of an ant, of course, He can hear our prayer also. But very often we expect, if we pray, that we have to have it very quickly. We are not patient. But the Lord has created us. He knows what is best for us, no? So, why don´t we trust Him? Why don`t we trust in His will?"

In God you have everything...

"In God you have everything. God - wich is the source of everything - in realising Him you will realise the limitless quality of mankind, the limitless quality of the true Self. And this will be the end of all misery, the end of all pain."

Very often, when we do things, we take everything for granted. We forget that behind all our actions, behind all that is happening, there is God’s Grace. And if we start seeing it in this way, we will be very happy. We will find peace in everything, even the worst thing that comes in our life, we will look at it in a different way.

But I will say, “No, it’s not difficult.” See, when you love others, you see the goodness in others, but when the point comes to love yourself, you see all your negativity. Stop looking at the negative. It’s only through being positive that it can stop. It’s only when you start looking at this positivity and start thinking about yourself positively that you will dive deep inside this ocean. Then your heart will open up."

One day you will have to let go of.......

"When you have certain knowledge one day you will have to let go even of it, because you don’t Realise God either with ignorance or with knowledge. Knowledge will bring you only to a certain point of Realising the Divine, but to Realise God, to truly know the Divine, you have to cross over everything, go beyond all limitations."

Sri Swami Vishwananda talks about........

"If you remove certain qualities from humans, people who are not on the spiritual path, like pride if you remove the sense of living in the material world, if you remove wealth from them, you remove enjoyment from them – they are finished! If our mind could fathom the Divine....

"If our mind could fathom the Divine, we would not be here, we would be with Him. That’s why He has given us so many aspects of Himself, so that our mind can be focused until we realise our Self. I will not say just until we realise God in our Self, but until we realise that we are part of Him."

"The mind can be overcome by chanting any Divine name. You see, if you practice it regularly, it will be more simple for you to focus the mind. When you are singing bhajans, your mind is not troubling you because when you chant, your mind is busy and it becomes hard for the negativity to take over. So wherever you are, whatever you are doing, keep your mind fixed on God and chant the Divine names. This will help you to open up your heart. Chanting the Divine name is the most efficient way of controlling the mind."

“Hey, mind, surrender yourself!”

"The soul inside of us is jumping and telling us, “Hey, mind, surrender yourself!” but the mind says, “No! I am better off with my own worries, because that is how I can drag you down completely.” The soul says, “But this is just an illusion”, because - deep inside - you know that the Reality is only realised when you surrender to the Divine Feet; when you realise the mystery of your incarnation, when you realise your Dharma, your duty here, and achieve that."

If you want permanent happiness....

"If you want permanent happiness, it is possible only when you surrender completely to God. When your body, mind and soul have become one and are offered to the altar of the Lord, He will happily give everything to you."
